I use Maxthon mainly on a local account, why after logging in to the Maxthon account and logging out, subsequent browser launches start with a pop-up window with the choice of login account, how can I "get rid" of this option the next time I open Maxthon? This issue applies not only to this version but also to earlier ones.

Мне надоело, что моя страница начинается с одного и того же ресурса ( https://lenta.ru/ )

Дайте возможность выбора установки страницы (например  https://www.rbc.ru/ или любую другую на мой выбор  )

Скорее всего, проблема в главной странице.
Выбранный режим при запуске, отличный от режима «Главная страница», срабатывает при последующем запуске программы после ее закрытия.
Если открыть из этой программы новую вкладку, новое окно или новое окно в режиме инкогнито, то всё будет работать как положено.

Но если повторно запустить Maxthon(некий способ открытия нового окна) через ярлык или непосредственно через исполняемый файл, то в то время, когда Maxthon уже был запущен, Maxthon запустится в отдельном окне в режиме "Главная страница" (хотя в настройках выбран другой режим запуска).

1. The background flickering bug remains. When, when opening a new tab, one background is loaded first, and then the one specified in the user’s settings. This can be clearly seen when the video is paused. The more tiles there are in a new tab, the longer the delay between loading the two backgrounds. This sometimes appears in version 7.1.6.1100, where they added "New setting added for the new tab page - switch for daily background image update." And it became a constant problem since version 7.1.6.1200, when they added the optimization "New tab page background image logic optimization..."

 

2. I don’t see or understand the fundamental difference between two similar functions - Bookmarks and MaxNote. Why is this done?

since 7.1.6.xxx (I believe after 7.1.6.1200) I often get tab crashes due to `out of memory` error 

this is on 2 different systems, one with win11 32GB ram and the other with win10 64GB ram. I doubt ram is the actual issue (this happens with less than 50 tabs opened).
it may be related to addons, but it used to work well and stable using the same addons in previous versions (never had that out of memory crash issue before recent versions).
crash can happen on random sites (happened on youtube, discord, shotgrid, google slides,...). this is using portable Maxthon

Hi Chemodan, I have checked with the development team on this background issue and they mention when select own background the system needs to check before loading the background image and loading takes time as well which in turn cause the flicker. We tested on Edge browser and it seems like their new tab page does flicker as well.

Bookmarks is to save selected tabs and it usually save the whole page whereas Maxnote you could choose to save just the URL, text/picture, or just selected text from a page. Maxnote can be more personalised in this sense.

Hello. The point is not even the flickering itself, but the fact that first one background is loaded, then the other. This was not the case before the release of the version I mentioned. And this is in any mode - user background or Daily. Look at the frames:

  If loading the background is causing problems, is it possible to implement a feature that simply fills the background with a selected color? Currently, the "no background" mode leaves the screen white, which is not very attractive.

Hi alexzhus, recorded requests have to be discussed within the team to see if it is feasible to add/change and subsequently to get approval from the management as well. Once approved, it will be scheduled according to the urgency/importance base on the request.

It appears that Google offers an SDK and other support to developers, which could be instrumental in enabling Netflix and similar DRM-protected content to function with the Maxthon browser.
