Sorry to say this @MaxthonJeff, but from what you've said in the video, it seems you are not trying to develop the best browser for people anymore, you are simply making this a playground for crypto schemes. I've spend 30522 hours using Maxthon (that's almost 3.5years of real time) over the past few years. Started using it since the era of MyIE2 actually. But in the past years the development cycle of MX has slowed down to almost a full stop. Simple bugs persist tens of version and most requested features and functionalities are ignored. There is no innovation, no interest in upping the securi14 points

"I created maxthon to please myself in the first place"... now you made me sad. With a single superficial sentence you wrote off all the years I've promoted maxthon left and right to a simple "I don't care about the users, all I care about is myself". You had chance here to say something that would bring the community together, instead you did this. You know, I've defended Maxthon when it didn't work properly in MX3, I've defended Maxthon when it cheated in html5 test and I've spent countless hours arguing with Niels Leenheer about whether it's fair to simply remove maxthon from all the t5 points

As for me, I still want to retain the Features: Sidebar Status Bar (Especially System Info for Up & Down Speeds) Night Mode (Possibly Improve) Developer Tools Resource Sniffer (Especially! Barely used but helps BIG time) Snap (Frequently used. Useful at all times). Lastly... Gmail Notifier Extension (Not sure if Chrome has a similar/better alternative but this is very useful to me) I'd probably still stick to Maxthon as my all around browser no matter the changes. It carries most of my browsing data and I feel more secured with Passkeeper than5 points

Dear Maxthon users, You may already know that we are developing next major update of Maxthon browser, Maxthon 6. Here I want to share something information about it, including its value proposition, and how we will develop it. Value proposition: For existing Maxthon users, Mx6 will keep all Maxthon5 data and implement most useful features from mx5, and providing much better website compatibility, full chrome addon support, useful chrome features. For all users, Mx6 will be the world first Bitcoin powered browser, enabling users to explore and participate the next generation4 points

Still missing the status bar and side bar, especially the status bar tools. Upload/Download Speed is crucial for me since it shows if there are unknown activities in the background.3 points

What I really don't lke about MX6 is size of tabs. Look at this and compare MX5, Vivaldi, MX6 and FireFox (Opera GX have same tab size as MX5). Maxthon 6 have biggest tab of all. also bookmarks are way bigger then in MX5, because it doesn't cut text from them how it does MX5. At this moment, without functions that MX5 have by default: Snap, Video Pop-up and download, External Tools (love it, very useful) and External Download Manager MX looks and feels like another Chromium clone. Also I don't like how in MX6 "Recently visited sites" was made. Its easier for me to click on little arrow then3 points

I've been using Maxthon since MyIE, and I've always liked the fact that it was DIFFERENT - mostly that it wasn't IE or FF or Chrome. Today I look at version 6 and see that it is more and more like Chrome and I don't mean the engine but the interface - that awful, disgusting, simple, ugly chrome interface! Why? Where is all the good from MX4 and MX5 how this browser differed from others? Do the downloaded files really have to be written to the disk and appear as tiles at the bottom just like in Chrome? The download manager in MX5 had no flaws! It had an OPEN button that made running programs st3 points

SUGGESTION: Restore or re-do Maxthon taskbar icons, preferably to the ones from Maxthon 5. Icon in Maxthon 6 is downright ugly (at least in Win7), and is the same if you use the normal instance or the "incognito" instance of Maxthon. Maxthon 5 used a nice bright blue colored icon for the normal window and a distinguishable icon for the Private window. Image taken in Windows 7 64-bit.3 points

If this is the best you can do, I better wait for Maxthon v7 😰 Please !!!!, put in configuration a checkbox to disable maxthon as the default browser and never ask for it again (while the checkbox is activated)3 points

It's already an official release but it's still missing the features I wanted. I have to say I'm quite disappointed.3 points

Recently started testing and using Maxthon 6 again, {without login} There is still 1 thing I ABSOLUTELY Hate is the Tab management {Since previous versions of MX 6 had issue's causing it to crash when opening tons of tabs, i could not test this fully} The older version had a nice an initiative feel where you could still see what tabs you had, and a drop-down menu when you filled up your tab bar The newer version has the same feel as Crome giving a Cluttered mess of a Tab bar if you have lots of tabs open at the same time. {on a 24" FHD screen the limit is arou3 points

I think most users of Maxthon who have benefited from it going back many years are fully appreciative -- BUT, the fact remains that Vivaldi, Opera and others have developed through numerous stages and still have a usable downloadable product, without leaving users of the old version in the dust. That is what has happened with Max 6. If too much time goes by without some usable Max 6 version, I don't see why anyone would be sticking around...3 points

OMG.... It's a MIRACLE! 1. Will I finally be able to come back to Maxthon, after stopping usage of Maxthon after "Maxthon Classic" due to the program becoming fat/slow/bloated, and losing good plugin support? This all caused me to stop using Maxthon and start using "360Chrome" instead which provided most of the features I needed in a Browser, i.e. much like Maxthon and nothing else out there, but also had Chrome plugin support. 2. The moment I saw the result of the new Maxthon I knew you guys needed to switch to Chromium instead due to the above reasons, but sadly it took you YEARS3 points

Mobile version will be updated later. But don’t expect it comes with a lot of features because we don’t want it to be bloated. It may have some addons like ability, not finalized yet. Chrome store rule will not affect Maxthon features. We are considering to provide an additional store if we have resources to manage it.3 points

And what about the mobile version of Maxton? Will there be new features for it? It would be good to have a sniffer, page translation and better night mode.3 points

BugSir006, it's not hard to reproduce at all, if you understand what he is saying. Do you understand what he is trying to say?? In MX6, you can't "jump through words" with the text cursor like you can in MX5. To reproduce: 1. open at least 2 TABs in MX6 2. Go to a textfield (for example a Reply field in this forum) and write some text into it. Then put the cursor at the start of the text and press "CTRL + Right arrow". Instead of the cursor jumping to the next word, your MX6 will skip to next TAB. If you claim that you can't reprocude this and that your MX6 skips words2 points

+1 to that, I would actually let only the Maxnote, since it is bookmarks+notes in one place. And the manager is actually more powerful and beautiful. See more here: +12 points

changelog notes are always so useless - how true! drag-link still doesn't works on google search page. resource sniffer still missing. web-gl not working properly. it seems mx-team prepares to run new year vacations - from 24 dec. to 1 apr.2 points

Hello! This one better version, but some issues exist in the latest Maxthon 6: 1. Positioning still doesn't work. 2. There is no scroll bar at the bottom of the folder with many bookmarks. Just the "MORE" button, which navigates to the bookmark manager. Therefore, I can't use the other bookmarks directly. Maxthon 5 has a scroll bar and I can use the bookmarks in the other columns directly.2 points

Please make it possible to display icons in quick launch in the form of screenshots of sites, as in version MX5. And also make it possible to change the quick launch grid. So that it could be done on 6 columns, and 8, or 10 for example. Thank!2 points

Can you implement a tool to transfer the passwd from mx5 to mx6 locally WITHOUT having to have a maxthon account or anything to do with synchronizing? Also another tool to transfer the QA from mx5 to mx6, in local nothing to synchronize?2 points

Use a Chrome extension such as Flash control. There are several that work. Flash will be discontinued in chrome from the end of 2020 anyway.2 points

I'm watching the latest mx6 alphas, and I don't like the way it's going. Basically, if you don't implement the features that defined maxthon, I don't know what will be the reason to choose this browser over any chrome version or derivatives (each one with its own ideas and that define its browser, example of vivaldi, opera etc, to name a few) Losing faith for moments 😞2 points

Thanks for the clarification my friends. It’s not hard to comprehend. It’s actully a common sense in building good product. Facebook started as a mischief to rate college girls. Google started as an internal tool. You can not design a product to please everyone, but always a certain kind of people, starting from yourself. Back to topic, although not seen by most people, I believe blockchain can help us build a honest world ( I really mean it in my presentation) and also help users get back their data from companies. That’s why we will build MX6. But it does not mean we will aba2 points

Yes, you will be able to do it. All extra features are done in the form of modules, it’s possible to disable these modules if you want.2 points

This will be optional? Will there be any way for any user to opt out of the whole bigcoinc, biddata, bigXXX related theme that has the browser built in? We will be able to "be free" to choose if we want such options BIGxxx?2 points

Indeed. With this configuration it can be easily replicated. When you "right click hold + left click", you can actually see the mouse-down trail appear. A clear sign that one gesture is triggering the other! But if you resize (restore) Maxthon window so that it is not maximized, even more strange things happen (diagonal mouse trail outside Maxthon window and "close tab" artifact on the left. Crazy!1 point
