The second MX always opens the https://i.maxask.com/ web page. Is the problem solved?

Thanks for new version. Is it normal when I close Maxthon, it stays still in memory and uses a lot RAM like it's open?

Edit: OK, doesn't happen always. Maybe because I close it with guesture.

Hi Wisely, just to check if you use shortcut (ctrl + N) to open new window or the taskbar menu?

I will, but as I edited, it was maybe 2 or 3 times. I think my RAM (DDR3) not very well. Sorry, Maxthon mostly is closed well as it should.

This bug is still happening and has been going on since version 6... And I don't think the memory version plays a role here.

Check that maxthon is closed in system tray too

Have you checked that there isn't one?
I never keep it but the newer versions came with the maxthon note that start with maxthon and stays in the tray
see my attached image I have my main maxthon on the taskbar and another one in system tray

Yeah, this is my System Tray. No Maxthon Note or any icons there. As you mentioned, Maxthon confused me when I saw 2 Maxthon pinned icons in Taskbar. I thought new Maxthon is installed in new path, but after deleting and readding pinned Maxthon icon I released it was Maxthon Note second pinned icon. 🤭

Have you checked that both are closed?
Maxthon note doesn't close with maxthon it stays open

It's OK, Mhzayer, not happening often. usually when I exit Maxthon, it's closed in memory too.

In my case Maxthon will always open a new window with a blank tab 
if I click Ctrl+N even though my default home page is set to https://i.maxask.com/
But it will open https://i.maxask.com/ if I click on maxthon.exe 
 

Edit:

After I changed my homepage to https://google.com/
It's now opening https://google.com/ if I click the maxthon.exe
and opening a new blank tab when I click ctrl+N

my homepage is my setting, I never use i.maxask.com as my default.

This problem has come from 7.1.6.1100 to 7.1.6.1201

and my default is open last opens(you can see the video ~0:25), and i.maxask.com is not my homepage or others.

Why did MX open i.maxask.com as a new MX7 session first open?

Hi! Custom background image set. When you close the tab, the standard background image appears for a second, and then the one that I set.

Version 7.1.6.1300 has the same bug.

Hi Wisely, you may wish to use the shortcut gesture Ctrl+N to open a new window for the time being. The developers will optimize it subsequently.
