As for extensions I have only 4 enabled - one 360 Internet protection (from my antivirus), Adblock, Ace script (which might be enabled by default, as I didn't enable it myself) and Google translate. But these were on since the very begging and never seemed to interfere.

Thanks for the script. I had other Adblock scripts but they stopped working as YT evolved. I don't know why a letter change in 'Maxthon' should enable the UA unless 'Maxthon' is being ignored. Perhaps this is regional. Edit: tried the script. It didn't work. Is it possible to update ViolentMonkey?

This download function is really missing and open in a separate window dont show timeline anymore this was really helpfull if adblock didn't do a thing MX5 MX6 Also i miss this simple window where i can acces all and not two separate buttons one to manage account and other to go to settings And i still cant find downlod manager i miss this one very much, it was the reason I used maxthoon that was really easy to manage were to save file with all saved locations. and mxdl file extension too And as was mentiond before I was able to click on speaker picture on a tab to mute tab which is much easer than right clicking it. I hope that all the functuionality from MX5 will be implemented some day, till then i guess I'll use MX5 and some other browser. Thanks for attention

Downloaded beta. A few remarks. When I close Maxthon, still Maxthon background processes keep running. I guess, they should not be running after closing Maxthon. Adblock extension has some problems in running or not when I press block one ad on this page option. Maybe, this is not Maxthon, just mentioning. In Passkeeper I cannot edit login name just password. Hi there, the video ads could not be blocked by the Adblock Plus. Regarding the Pinterest, could you let us know the version of your browser? We recommend you to use the latest beta version 5.3.8.2100 with the default User-Agent.

Sorry for the late reply. Yes, AdBlock is enabled but the reason I asked is previously it would black ads automatically and now on some sites I see ads where there weren't any before but if I have to specify on a site to actually block ads then that's what I shall do. Thanks Edited: All the settings for ABP are as they should be so I suspect that some sites changed their coding to bypass ad-blockers.

Hello Are there, perhaps, other adblockers besides Adblock Plus? ABP is nice but I have noticed that, after using the portable version of 5.2.7.3000, it is not working as nicely as it used to and am seeing more ads appearing after installing ABP. I didn't change any settings on the add-on either, just installed and went on my merry way. Thanks

First, I think you should upgrade to some newer stable version. Since version that you have been quite stable versions. Locate within your profile de maxthon, the \AdBlock\ folder, with closed maxthon, delete it or better rename it. In theory, you will only see a single list, with which you will have to reconfigure it.

There are several reasons a web page, or something you get to on a web page, can seem to "break" with AdBlock on and look or work fine with AdBlock off. It's almost never because of AdBlock itself. Here are the things we look for.

Use the Adblock Lists from here. https://adblockplus.org/subscriptions. Right click on the Subscription required and "Copy Link". Paste link into Adblock.

I have tried manually adding the filter lists and have had some success. The functionality, however appears to be buggy. I notice that if the domain for the host of the filter list is "easylist.to", the filter list always fails to download. My guess is that this is related to the bug for which its bug report is posted: I have also noticed that if the Proxomitron SSL Helper Program ProxHTTPSProxyMIIis being used on the local computer (which would be more common on a Windows Vista or earlier generation Microsoft operating system), the lists always fail to download for the Maxthon version of Adblock Plus. The lists download correctly in various Chromium versions, Windows Internet Explorer 8, and various Firefox and Firefox-derived broswer without issue while ProxHTTPSProxyMIIis is being used. After installing that extension, Adblock Plus appears, but does not seem to work. I am unable to download filter lists for use in Adblock Plus and the "adb:" links do not work. According to Robert Heaton's note, popular extension Stylish steals all your internet history: I have a lot of questions: Is Stylish for Maxthon official? Here're not so many official extensions and ports. I know olny three: LastPass, VKOpt and AdBlock Plus. Other extensions in most cases are unofficial ports from funboys. Is Stylish too? Add-on was uploaded by one of users from China - 寂寞的原子 (Lonely Atom). He made many cool exnetsions for Maxthon. Who is he? Can we talk to him? Is spying update relevant for Maxthon? Last update of mxaddon was in January 2018. Does this mean that users of Stylish for Maxthon take risks too? Because if Lonley Atom used old version of Stylish, it may be still safe. Not a fact, but we have a chance. Are Chrome and Firefox issues relevant for Maxthon? Maxthon is closed browser. That's why many third-party developers don't want to work with Maxthon. Maybe changes happened on Chrome could not be repeated on Maxthon. Now we need someone from MX Team to check it. P. S. I've seen mention of Stylish changes thrice, so it's probably true... I'm not sure that it's relevant for Maxthon too. So don't panic! Maybe it's false alarm... But I think you should know this...

Maxthon still has build-in AdBlock Plus, but now if you want to activate it, you have to install the extension.

I was just using ABP on Firefox and just noticed a slightly big difference with Maxthon's ABP. I was browsing video streaming sites and noticed a mirror that doesn't play unless you turn off the adblock (both Firefox and Maxthon). I had the mirrors link whitelisted with wildcards (*.domain.*), It worked on firefox's but wildcards aren't allowed on Maxthon's whitelist. The video player is embedded so it can easily be whitelisted with wildcards but it's hard on Maxthon(can't do it). Additionally, you can block elements easily on firefox while you need to type it manually on Maxthon. The only advantage I see on Maxthon's ABP is the custom filter which is not on Firefox's, aside from that, those in firefox are probably better.
