  1. Hi, for years i was using maxthon and its passkeeper to save my passwods, but now im using different tool to keep my passwords cuz of passkeeper limitations. Is there a way to extract to csv file ? Copy/paste for every password will take me years to finish...
  2. Dear Maxthon users, You may already know that we are developing next major update of Maxthon browser, Maxthon 6. Here I want to share something information about it, including its value proposition, and how we will develop it. Value proposition: For existing Maxthon users, Mx6 will keep all Maxthon5 data and implement most useful features from mx5, and providing much better website compatibility, full chrome addon support, useful chrome features. For all users, Mx6 will be the world first Bitcoin powered browser, enabling users to explore and participate the next generation of internet - Metanet. More information about metanet can be found at bitcoinsv.com . Develop: The main browser features of mx6 will be developed based on a deeply customized chromium code base and existing mx5 codebase. All bitcoin related features will be developed by Maxthon team. Mx6 also has an open API to enable other developers to integrate their code. At Maxthon, we want to design the application of the future. Starting from 2003, Maxthon has been in the frontline of web innovations, today, seeing a new web is hatching from bitcoin(blockchain), we want to invite all Maxthon users to join this extraordinary movement. We can discuss all related information in this thread. We can discuss bitcoin here as well, but to learn more about bitcoin and metanet, the best place is bitcoinsv.com Jeff
  3. Maxthon really doesn't like UFC. Cannot play videos or display pictures properly. Maxthon (Version7.1.6.1600(64-bit)0904 16:24), Windows 10 pro: Firefox: Any suggestions?
  4. Version: 7.1.6.1700 64bit System: Windows 10 64bit When visit https://www.bricklink.com/r3/main.page Can not show scroll bar, but in Chrome it is good.
  5. Hello, considering how long I've been using the browser, I've accumulated quite a bit of gold that I can't spend. I don't want to end up in a situation where all my gold will be deducted in March 2024. I kindly request the developers to add options for spending gold. If possible, consider adding a premium purchase for several years in advance. Thank you.
  6. Please I need fix this what you can see on the video. I cannot type with this!!! It occures only on Windows 8.1 (Maxthon runs good on Windows 11). Untitled.mp4
  7. I had Maxthon 7.0.0.1300 and decided to update to the newest which was 7.1.6.1000. I then spent 30 minutes trying to resort to my older version. Why? Because some idiot at Maxthon thought that adding a strip bar under the address bar on the quick start page, which showed 'Login to Maxnote' (? can't remember what it actually said) was actually a good thing. It isn't. Stop adding crap without surveying first. That strip takes up screen space and is bloody annoying. And if you INSIST on adding it make it customizable so that users, whom you seem to dump on regularly with awful apps, can hide it. And if you don't like the tone of this message then stop adding crap without allowing it to be hidden or fully controlled by the user.
  8. Since for some inexplicable reason, UUMail was removed from the new tab page since MX6, I have been had to add shadow emails for UUMail logging in to my Maxthon account at http://uu.me instead of the https://pc-uc.uu.me/mail link within MX5 that didn't require a login. Now, I cannot login to uu.me or uu.me/mail in order to add shadow emails or access passkeeper. When I click on "authorization" button, it momentarily says "success!" and then it just goes back to the login page. It just loops and loops.
  9. Hi MX community I just got a popup window asking me to unlock my Maxthon tabs by entering my password. This is the first time happening. Is this a new feature or should I be concerned? Many thanks
  10. Hello, I am trying to recover some old bookmarks and profile data from my maxthon account (it should be this same one I am accessing the forums with). Back when I still used maxthon, it was still the cloud browser with a Maxthon Passport sign-in that synced your bookmarks in the cloud. I can't seem to log into it at all in the old browser and Maxthon 7, which I just downloaded, just creates a new account when I try signing in. Were the old maxthon passports all deleted in the past several years or is there some way for me to recover my environment? Thank you in advance for any assistance.
  11. In MX7.1.6 how to set up an idle time counter for auto-locking the MX7? Is this timeout-locking function available in MX7 and supports setting a manual timer? Because the office, it's not a private location, I don't like someone some person use my MX7
  12. So, a while ago I posted a question here asking how to find/stop a tab that constantly plays audio. This stopped at one point, but has now resumed, with one tab playing nothing but BBC 4. I have searched as much as possible through my various bookmarks and tabs and still have this issue. Can anyone assist with this? Thanks
  13. There was a nice option to restore all tabs in a window after (accidentally) closing the MX. It is no longer there. What happened?
  14. Hello, A while ago I suggested the option to prevent Maxthon from getting websites that were searched at to be automatically added to the search engine line ("Get search engines from your browsing history and add them to search engine list automatically"). Basically add a simple on/off option for this. It is causing many problems for me, for example when using tet from Facebook and using the right click -> search (on Google), first it opens Google search but then redirects back to FB, since it is now contained in the search engine list automatically. It has been a while and I would strongly request to manage this feature, but allowing a very simple off switch to it.
  15. Hello, I've recently noticed a problem with how Maxthon is managing bookmarks when we are sorting them in the manager: If you use the "cut" function, the items selected and cut will disappear before they're pasted... Not really a problem if you paste them just after that, but if you're doing a 2nd cut without pasting the 1st one (ex: if the 1st one was a mistake), the 1st items will be lost ! So the only alternative I've found, was to restore a backup of my bookmarks... Not really convenient ! Another useful item you could add is an icon to go up one level in the bookmarks tree (ex: going from test\level1\level2 to test\level1). A function to expand/collapse parts of the tree would be useful too.
  16. This is an updated thread replacing the previous ones that have been archived. MX 7 and 6 only function on Windows 7 or later. Chrome 110 and later only function on Windows 10 and 11. Earlier versions of Windows will remain on Chrome 109. Chrome 110 and up function in the UA for all versions of Windows. At present (September 2023) it is not possible to change the User Agent in MX 6 and 7 using the traditional internal UA modifier/selector so you have to use extensions from the chrome store. I personally use https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/user-agent-switcher-and m/bhchdcejhohfmigjafbampogmaanbfkg (recommended). There are lots of others. The Qupzilla browser is now obsolete and is no longer being developed. I have also removed the MX 6.1 series. From December 2022 I have in incorporated Edge and Opera as standard. These UAs break Youtube Live Chat. Use standard Maxthon UA: just disable chosen UA extension in Extensions and reload tab. When it becomes possible to Change UA's in Maxthon using the internal Maxthon modifier/selector I will update this portion of the thread. With Windows 11 the system is changing to User Agent Client Hints (UA-CH). More information to follow as Browsers adapt to this new system. Google the term for the latest relevant information as it is adopted and evolves. You can also modify the User Agent Request Header and reduce the Minor browser version using flags. Go to mx://flags/. Thanks to Imanerd. Updated 26th September 2023 MX 5.3.8 Series These function on other series as well.
