    Golfmann

can we fix this (on twitter):

    ALSO Netflix not working...

There's no excuse for a modern browser in this world not to have this working.

Unless you're trying to turn people away.

Does it can't play in Ultra Mode? If so, this's a confirmed bug of twitter's video, we will fix it ASAP.

But Netflix problem hadn't confirmed. Could you give me a screenshot of Netflix problem please? and your computer system version and Maxthon browser version.

Thanks a lot and looking forward to your feedback.

Yes, ultra mode in twitter (should see more in link named in picture)

no movies will play in Netflix, period. Retro or ultra modes.

    Windows 10 12 gig ram Maxthon v4.9.3.500

If tried in ultra mode you get this:

    netflix.jpg

twitter seems to be working now...

can't re enact it. Netflix problem REMAINS...

    thanks

Hello, Golfmann. I transferred those information to test team...but they need a Netflix account. They can't create one because no foreign credit card...

If you're willing, could you PM me your Netflix account. If it's inconvenient, it's ok. I understand.

This seems to be related to my post about HTML5 and maxthon 4.9 as for testing plex server is free and can be tested with any .avi file. If it works on that it will probably work on Netflix etc.

Just thought I would try amazon prime and that has the same problem of not playing; also uses a HTML5 player.

I can also confirm Netflix doesn't work here.

You get an error page in Ultra.
Retro (with standard rendering) only plays audio, just a black screen otherwise.
Trying different UA's doesn't help at all.

I get this browser does not support video playback.

Neither this nor Ody's links are usable on my win10 Mx4.9.3.1000.

glad it isn't just me. 4.4.8 works fine with theses and was the one reason I always went back to the old version as 4.9 had these issues.

It's not to say they all don't work, only some give me problems but I don't know the cause....

doesn't work in ultra, only works in retro here

The dog blowing bubbles in his water dish played for all 30 seconds without a glitch.

Hi - I have the same problem since a while and getting more and more site with embedded videos or link to GIF (e.g. as mentioned in other posts, connected to Twitter) not working. As well often, the same message, my browser doesn't support playing video, etc... What makes me frustrated is that, everything works like a charm when using Firefox!

Here is a link to a page showing one of the problems ( Ce navigateur ne prend pas en charge la lecture vidéo)

Any chance of noting your settings so others with issues can compare?

And testing on a portable version? That way we might find out if it's something/settings on your install or your system?

If portable works, then it's system related, if not then it's settings. If it is settings some testing should lead us to the culprit.

I confirm and tend to believe it's Application related. It works perfectly with other navigators such as Firefox!

1080p was removed on YouTube as an option in the player today, had to switch user agent to Firefox in settings to play 1080p video.

A little more information please.  Which version of Maxthon are you using and can you provide a link to a video that this happened to?

Literally every video on YouTube, but it seems like it was a temporary issue that has resolved itself now.

Yes there are also other users who reported this problem. Do you mean for some video on YouTube, you may face a "Qulity is missing..."? I test some and do encouter from my side.

We have reported that to our engineers and hope it could be solved soon!
