werwer
Hi I want to submit an MX6 bug. I’m using the MX6. Version6.1.0.2000(64-bit). I want to use www.google.com as my search engine. After adding it as my search engine I can’t make it my default. The default google one is google.hk which I can’t edit as well. I have restarted the computer but it’s still not working. I don’t think this has to do with which engine you add. I also tried to add baidu and it also won’t let me make it my default. Link to comment
BugSir006
Hi there, you can try to add this link of search engine then set default: https://www.google.com/search?source=hp&ei=m7_iX6XBN8f4-wSDlIfYAQ&q=%s&oq=test&gs_lcp=CgZwc3ktYWIQAzIFCAAQsQMyBQgAELEDMgIIADIFCAAQsQMyBQgAELEDMgUIABCxAzILCC4QsQMQxwEQrwEyAggAMgUIABCxAzICCAA6CAgAEOoCEI8BOgsIABDHAxDqAhCPAToICAAQsQMQgwE6CAguELEDEIMBOgsILhCxAxDHARCjAjoCCC46BQguELEDUKb3T1iQ_E9grYBQaAFwAHgAgAG6AogBzAmSAQUyLTEuM5gBAKABAaoBB2d3cy13aXqwAQo&sclient=psy-ab&ved=0ahUKEwjl-uLBmuPtAhVH_J4KHQPKARsQ4dUDCAk&uact=5 Link to comment
Perplexer
Yes, it's a bug in their default configuration and it's also very hard to manage / edit these engines in Settings. By default it's set to Google.com but in reality it uses google.com.hk. You have to first create a new one (see attached image) and make it default and then you can delete the old buggy one. CamaliaPot
I had a similar problem and I could not fix this bug until I updated all the drivers and updated the version of the browser, maybe the problem is some kind of incompatibility. In any case, you need to check all available updates. I understand that this job is not for everyone, but it's worth trying. Link to comment
