7twenty Posted October 29, 2015 Report Share Posted October 29, 2015 Never heard of that term before, but a quick search seems to say that it's generally used for fake AV/security programs where you install it thinking it's an AV but in fact it's a fake program with a trojan etc.So unless the whole "forced ad" thing is the reason, i think it's a bit of a stretch.Not good that it's showing like that on programs. I'd hope the MX PR team is onto this to make sure that it doesn't get too wide spread, otherwise many users will take it at face value and will start losing users.
