  1. nothing new here - in fact nothing to be seen - i thought you were going to post something new but then why would you?
  2. has the browser been given up on - not if you believe the BS from china - trillions of users - well a few less than that - where they are other than in the mind of the marketing dept and developers is anybodies guess it works and is updated now and again - new features are added that nobody asks for or wants other than the company skins - they are possible - if you want them then its a learning curve - the company seem to think they are not important and put forward that a colour change is a skin dont expect much from this place - it seems to be drawing its last breaths
  3. stylish has been updated a number of times on the extension centre - checking the version listed is 3.0.4 non of the updates have ever worked for me and others that post comments the answer has been to stick with version 2.4.3 which whilst old works - i just keep the 2.4.3 extension write protected so any update does not work whether this get round the problem you state i have no idea but hopefully so
  4. the only efficient way to do any skin mod is to do it yourself - that means learning how shins are done but until they make skinning as MX3 every update has the potential to change mods so its virtually impossible for those who mod skins to keep up tabs at he bottom is easy enough - like i said above its not rocket science
  5. BUT - [add sarcasm smilie] thats how they seem to work - add something that nobody wants whilst old bugs go on and on and requests that have been around for yeas are ignored
  6. addons are great BUT all those who seemed to understand how to make them seem to have left - the problems with MX5 and the thought that talking to the company was like talking to the wall sent those users elsewhere same with those who contributed themes - the difficult way to add themes being one problem - another being the state of MX5
  7. maxthon devs have always ignored users - when was the last time we saw a dev on here - all we see is bugsirs who patronise - they come and go like summer snow so have no insight into whats been asked before the bottom lines are the browser is free as are all others - if it works for you then expect no more - you can but nothing will happen Jeff talks a good story but follows nothing up - too busy with crypto-currency or whatever to dirty his hands with this place and the user base that gave him what he has long term users are leaving which is not good - input here is all but dried up - it does need a statement from Jeff or whoever but we all know that is unlikely to happen in any meaningful way apart from whoever is sitting in the bugsirs chair this week telling us that the users are important - more platitudes - we have heard it all before
  8. i dont understand their logic at the moment - seems they fix one or two bugs and release a new version - no one from here is testing anything so they must now do all testing internally and it would seem not very well
  9. its not rocket science - it cannot be as i can do it - its worth learning to get the skin as YOU want it
  10. perfectly possible to move tabs down it needs uimain.dat to be modified as Maxthon tend to change things in every build posting skin mods is painful as they only last one release usually - there is no easy way to mod skins other than mods to the file mentioned to do what you want is a matter of unpacking the file - moving one line of code and repacking the file - simple really but keeping up with their changes is the problem - the easy way - if its important to you is to learn how to do it yourself
  11. with respect how is it important to many people - the last skin i posted which had tabs on bottom had a grand total of one download - say again - 1 - so hardy useful to many modding skins at that level is easy enough - its certainly not rocket science - so if its important have a look at the code and learn how to do it
  12. might be some on chinese forum - apart from that there are not many - you could always make your own as others do
  13. whatever happened to this 44 votes - referred to product manager and buried - a month or two and we can all sing happy birthday

    noads

noads stopped working for me in the latest branch - with help from the devs it now works there is [apparently] an error in the original noads extension - why it worked with earlier versions of Maxthon is not explained by Maxthons but no matter the error is in def.json def.json-'include': [ '*.', 'localhost' ]should be change to 'include': [ '*', 'localhost' ] i will not post a fixed version only point to the fix given by Maxthon and would acknowledge the work of the original author of the extension who i believe went by the name of Trincare and the Maxthon devs who found the error all i did was ask for help and am grateful for the help given
  15. i think the max width is hard coded - its certainly possible to change settings to reduce the tab width from that set but altering those same settings to a lager number has no effect so i think you are stuck wit what they have as a max
  16. i raised this elsewhere and Jeff commented - i thought it would have been resolved but obviously not - read into that what you want
  17. excellent job on the user bar - much better that the Maxthon offering
  18. its the popup wanting to generate a password - so just go to any site that needs a password - click on the password box and up pops the annoying popup - does not matter if you have your own password set it still pops up - would be great to get rid of it
  19. like this - can you do the same to stop the annoying password box flashing up when a password is needed
  20. i suspect its lack of continuity of staff and poor communication - just as the bugs change here on a regular basis i would guess the devs have a high turnover - so whilst they can program they start with a clean sheet of paper each time and do whatever they want with little detailed reference backwards
  21. what do you mean they are NOT skins - joe with 2 hats thinks they are - as to the rest of it i dont think its going to happen - prove me wrong Jeff - but the skin centre died with 3 - i think the devs agree with Joe - what we have is it
  22. i have no idea apart from in the new UI they seem to do something similar in index and layout.htm - the latter is called in the former - have a look in there it may help - its simple so i would guess you have tried that
  23. be surprised then i have no idea to the answer but as a suggestion could you jut not alter the code so its corrupt - miss something out or something like that - would that stop the extension running or just give an error code
