  1. another one of the ideas that went nowhere - like vip status or whatever it was called - all announced with trumpets blowing and quickly forgotten by Maxthon a lot like MX6 it seems - that looks destined to go nowhere
  2. plural? you think there is more than one working on this [vanity] project
  3. vivaldi was updated the other day - think there have been 4 updates in october
  4. so no core update - you are a few behind no status bar - or have i missed that and no side bookmarks bar hmmmmmmmmmmm
  5. an interesting statement how do you/we know that - its never been stated how many devs there are - who are you comparing that to - microsoft or vivaldi/brave
  6. its available here to some and on telegraph to anybody - no need to join just view - as to rolling it out its an apha version - a long way from finished or usable - i log on here in hope but i think thats fading fast - Vivaldi is way ahead of 6 - i cannot see that changing
  7. i agree and disagree - have not looked at the new build but on your point that there are better extensions than snap in the chrome store i beg to differ on what i have looked at - that said i have not tried all thats listed so would be interested to look at what you say is better - please list them snap in m6 fills the requirement for many but it should be a separate extension - whether others are better or worse is not really the issue - if a user wants to use something else then they should be able to remove the m6 version otherwise it just bloats the install
  8. so anyone can become a tester now it seems - post here and you are added to the group - so why not make it open to all - you will have no control over it soon as the test versions are posted anywhere and everywhere the whole project seems like a waste of time
  9. why is it necessary to join somewhere else to get this version - is this not the official forum of Maxthon - you have testers here and a by invite only tester section - what point does that serve if you push versions to anyone who joins the Telegraph group which is effectively public
  10. but you are still a mod - its just the admins he has sacked - seems odd as they did all the work over the years - not that theres much to do these days - Maxthon say they have 700 million users - you can pretty much count the users here on two hands - wonder where the other 699.999.990 are
  11. i have seen and read that - let me be as simple as i can be - i do not understand bitcoin - blockchain and all that it links to - i have more chance of understanding Ody in her own language or Jeff in his than this technology - hence my question
  12. interesting can someone explain that in simple english to someone who has no interest in bitcoin or blockchain or whatever else is implied - Jeff talks about that part being a module that can be removed - if so what will that mean to the browser
  13. all good points but no one seems to be listening - the browser is dying/dead with a conspiracy of silence from Maxthon - unless Jeff can release something that is ground breaking as MyIE was then we all need to find another browser
  14. new 5.3.8 is slow in coming - any idea when we will see it - the time its taken from the last release must [surly] mean it will have all bugs fixed
  15. not exactly sure what you are asking - are you saying stylish does not work if thats what you are saying i can only say it works for me that said it can be difficult to get it working so comeback with a clearer question and i will get some info - its not straight forward and a while since i looked at it
  16. nothing new here - in fact nothing to be seen - i thought you were going to post something new but then why would you?
  17. has the browser been given up on - not if you believe the BS from china - trillions of users - well a few less than that - where they are other than in the mind of the marketing dept and developers is anybodies guess it works and is updated now and again - new features are added that nobody asks for or wants other than the company skins - they are possible - if you want them then its a learning curve - the company seem to think they are not important and put forward that a colour change is a skin dont expect much from this place - it seems to be drawing its last breaths
  18. stylish has been updated a number of times on the extension centre - checking the version listed is 3.0.4 non of the updates have ever worked for me and others that post comments the answer has been to stick with version 2.4.3 which whilst old works - i just keep the 2.4.3 extension write protected so any update does not work whether this get round the problem you state i have no idea but hopefully so
  19. the only efficient way to do any skin mod is to do it yourself - that means learning how shins are done but until they make skinning as MX3 every update has the potential to change mods so its virtually impossible for those who mod skins to keep up tabs at he bottom is easy enough - like i said above its not rocket science
  20. BUT - [add sarcasm smilie] thats how they seem to work - add something that nobody wants whilst old bugs go on and on and requests that have been around for yeas are ignored
  21. addons are great BUT all those who seemed to understand how to make them seem to have left - the problems with MX5 and the thought that talking to the company was like talking to the wall sent those users elsewhere same with those who contributed themes - the difficult way to add themes being one problem - another being the state of MX5
  22. maxthon devs have always ignored users - when was the last time we saw a dev on here - all we see is bugsirs who patronise - they come and go like summer snow so have no insight into whats been asked before the bottom lines are the browser is free as are all others - if it works for you then expect no more - you can but nothing will happen Jeff talks a good story but follows nothing up - too busy with crypto-currency or whatever to dirty his hands with this place and the user base that gave him what he has long term users are leaving which is not good - input here is all but dri
  23. i dont understand their logic at the moment - seems they fix one or two bugs and release a new version - no one from here is testing anything so they must now do all testing internally and it would seem not very well
