John.Smith
Try AdFender. http://www.adfender.com It supports a lots of filtering lists including malware domain blocking as well. No need to install separate addons/plugins for each browser. Works system wide. Good luck...(I am using it from 2009 onwards)
LieutenantTwitch
Hello! I'm a new Maxthon user (just downloaded it today, actually) and I'm loving it so far, but I have a question about the adblock capabilities. I have adhunter enabled and I also now have adfender and they're both working fine, but is there a way to block the ads that play during Youtube videos? Or, is there something I can add to the adblock settings so it will recognize those ads and block them? (Like AdBlock Plus does on other browsers.) Thank you in advance for any help! LieutenantTwitch
Update: Youtube Center isn't working for me either. I now have that, the AdHunter, and AdFender installed, and yet I can't figure out how to block the ads that play before/during Youtube videos. Are there certain settings I should be looking at? EDIT: I think I've figured it out. Downloaded a script manager add-on and installed a script that blocks the Youtube video ads. Finger crossed! Mutineer
How does adhunter work? I have been using Mx for a couple of weeks, and the log says it hasn't blocked a single ad yet. EDIT: I found something on another thread. At least it's a place to start.
fOrTune(r)
I use Adguard, it blocks all annoyng commersial automatically without any moves from my side. It filters all the traffic in every browser, so I don't need any other browser's stop-ad extension :lol
John.Smith
You can add the following rules to AdFender custom rules (The below rule was taken from the AdBlock Plus rules) ||plus.googleapis.com^*/widget/render/comments?$subdocument,domain=youtube.com ||apis.google.com^*/widget/render/comments?$subdocument,domain=youtube.com youtube.com###watch-discussion ||youtube.com/annotations_invideo?$object-subrequest youtube.com##.video-annotations ||youtube.com/share_ajax?action_get_share_box=1&video_id=$xmlhttprequest youtube.com##.action-panel-trigger This should work for you
