rafikiphoto
I see that Ghostery isn't available for Maxthon. Is there a similar utility that can work on Maxthon?
7twenty
Not at this time unfortunately. And apparently it won't happen as Maxthon doesn't have the API support to make it happen. See here for details. The dev's are working with the AdBlock team to get a version of AdBlock to Maxthon. If enough people make noise about Ghostery the same might happen. rafikiphoto
Thank you. That is a disappointment. How far does the Maxthon 'Do Not Track' setting cover Ghostery's features?
hobi
This extension should be priority just like HTTPS Everywhere
sidoog
Can't install Ghostery extension. It downloads properly but when installing it won't install into Maxthon. It keeps opening the IE Browser to load. Maxthon is my default browser. Still using my year 2002 XP Compaq Evo N600c laptop. It just won't quit. Latest Maxthon BETA's run great. Why upgrade just to spend the bucks. Anyone else having a Ghostery install problem. No other posts seen. Any help advice is appreciated.
magg
There is no Ghostery extension for Maxthon (for Windows)! Maxthon doesn't support any Chrome or Firefox addons/ extensions.
Bisoprolol
So, is there any plan to make Ghostery extension for maxthon on windows besides for mac? I've already read the old thread: http://forum.maxthon.com/thread-1741-1-1.html but no news update yet.
7twenty
You would have to ask the team that creates the extension. But per the link in post #3, Maxthon doesn't have the required API calls to allow it to function. So unless the Maxthon dev's decide to do something about it, it seems there's nothing the Ghostery team can do.
