  5. Maxthon with no quick access hack

    File to the current version added.

    Hi guys,

    I dont know you but its been annoying for me not to have a blank page.So I've found a solution. I've edited a file and now İt shows no quick access.Just copy MxBrowser.dll in the attached file and paste it to : C:\Program Files (x86)\Maxthon5\Bin

    Maxthon 5.1.0.1400: MxBrowser-v5101400.rar

    Maxthon 5.0.4.3000: MxBrowser-v5043000.rar

    Maxthon 5.0.3.2000: MxBrowser-5032000.rar

    Maxthon 5.0.2.2000: MxBrowser.rar

    In my opinion,privacy is the most important thing nowadays.Even if it is alfa beta or official version.Username and password should not be required to use maxthon 5.

    It is the biggest issue and a very big disappointment for me :(

    I remember I was so thrilled when ads were going on saying "something big is coming"..At the ent it was nothing :( 

    I hope this time Maxthon 5 will really be different :(

    Hi Tony.I unpacked 0.dat and my old skin.Then copied/replaced everything in old skin folder into unpacked 0.dat.Then I packed the folder to 0.dat.

    When I move 0.dat and open Maxthon,new skin is working.But how do I pack 0.dat as .skin so that by double clicking,it will automatically apply the skin?

    loopings is no longer here - well not with that name anyway - he is banned for all sorts of reasons - as to skins he posts/posted they are usually somebody elses work normally without permission of the author or acknowledgement 

    sure the skin you want for 4.9 is possible - your best hope would be to try and port it yourself

    Oliver one is right.

    I've also deleted adblock plus lists and enable only my old maxthon adblock rules.It is much more better

    But still Maxthon has to do something about page loading.

    It maybe because of GPU acceleration.But since user says they ave tested with other computers,this may not be the case.

    Yes thats right.There is no ad in the ad panel but still there is the adpanel.

    If you test the yahoo mail with earlier version of Maxthon using adblock,you will see that there is no adpanel at all. This gives you more space for the inbox.

    Please have a look at this add on made for FF:

    There are 2 images that explain what I mean.

    I guess this was the rule for Maxthon adbock: ###theAd

    Thanks for the reply.I know the new version and I've used the portable one.Same issue exists,thats why I've updated the thread.

    For example,when you first open the Maxthon,IDM tries to capture a file after a few second :(

    PS: I'm still using Ad skip version because:

    1-I like Ad-skip feature

    2-Becase of anoying IDM issue with other versions.

    Hi BugSir,

    The IDM issue still exists :(

    and also I'd love to have a "none" option for quick access background.

    (PS: Is Maxthon development over?Its been months that there is no improbements.Just simple fixes. )

    Quick access has always a background picture.Is it not possible to have a blank background with no picture at all?

    When you open Maxthon and click to open a new tab,after a while,IDM (Internet download manager) tries to capture a link and downloads something.Please fix this issue.

    There's a problem, those rules blocks everything in the right column, including the right column in ...

    Removing only "###rightCol" should work.

    or you can try more simple rules like:

    ##li

    ##.ego_column

    ##*#pagelet_friend_list_suggestions

    ##*#pagelet_pymk_timeline

    ##*#pagelet_rhc_footer

    ##div

    Above should remove all adds except suggested pages,games which rarely appears on the wall.
