EUMZAL
Hello, I haven't been updating to newer version since mid 2023, yesterday after a maxthon crash, the browser was automatically updated to newest version. And also the most recent Windows 10 updated on the same day. I'm not sure if the two are related or not but after that Maxthon browser has been performing very badly, CPU spike up to 50-60% when loading new link (especially Youtube). It's most obvious when I use Youtube, using anything or even typing on the search bar is very laggy. My RAM/CPU/GPU Usage is very low when I tested these issues, Is there a way I could revert to an older version or send diagnosis feedback?
TheWhippinpost
Youtube is agressively targeting Adblock, it seems, slowing page-loading, comments, watchlists, volume controls etc... Try disabling Adblock to confirm. See: https://www.reddit.com/r/chrome/comments/194xg3n/experiencing_severe_lag_on_youtube_with_adblocker/
EUMZAL
Thanks for confirming, I did remove Adblock and used Ublock instead after the post and it indeed was the problem.

Apparently it wasn't Youtube that was causing it but an Adblock update - now OK
