sorry, but nobody should be asking for my password... is there no way to look into this or fix it without that?

heres a screenshot of my extension page, showing the update link is missing

Amen to that, how the hell did this begin anyway? Who's bright idea was this? Asking passwords??? Really??? Very unprofessional in my opinion.

Furthermore, and to let it go on...

  2. A new update released yesterday, build 16184. Windows blog

I had an issue opening Action Center until I first opened with right click. Now it seems to open fine.

This release brings "people" to creators update which allows pinning up to 3 contacts to task bar for quick chats.

Not sure what's happened, but now I can't even run it in Retro mode. Page seems to want to start as Ultra and can't change... just gets stuck.

Have tried deleting cookies and it works for a second, then goes back to the above.

    Very, very broken.

I've finally got to the new player, but it doesn't play and I also get the ooops notification at the top of the page. Switch to retro leads to a broken player with only text view-able, but the page does scroll in its entirety.

Edit: I can get it to play if I first open Spotify windows app and then click on play in M5, so M5 is missing some kind of call???? It also stops playing  as soon as I close the windows app( and no, it was not playing on the app). When trying to play on Edge the windows app pops up and plays. Don't think it played without the app being installed.

First, you have to be using an updated UA, I'm using chrome57.x.x.x. Looks like it is playing the windows app after all (although it appears to be playin on M5) even if paused on the app.

try changing some font sizes on the desktop - thats gone - it seems to remember what the settings were before the update but they cannot now be changed without digging into the registry

You can change the desktop font size by changing the scale and layout in each monitor separately. Not something you could do in win7.

Also,  you can use Cortana to install and setup Win10 with verbal commands. Not something you could do in win7.

You can work on multiple desktops at the same time. Not something you could do in win7.

Action center brings together all those settings that were so difficult to find in win7 and facilitates their use to boot.

And frankly, the list goes on.

But I can certainly see how a self-centered individual might have issues with it, it's not how I like it so how can anyone else like it? The truth is you can set up win10 to look and act almost exactly like you had win7 set up and yet have it do so much more.

got it earlier - it works - they are busy changing for change sake imo - stripping stuff out and breaking some 3rd party software i use but thats as it is with Microsoft - they care not for users these days

    ......

  6. Looks like they are about to release a new Development Branch of win10, this is where they work on Onecore. Who is planning on continuing with windows insider program?

I imagine it will be out tomorrow.

  7. Um, no issues with spotify. No idea if it's new player or not

Edit: right click on the player hamburg menu drop down is empty( so maybe new player afterall)

Check ABP!!! It blocks images and menus on the site.

    UA Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Maxthon/5.0 Chrome/55.0.2526.73 Safari/537.36

But even without customized UA, it plays fine.

  8. When clicking on Bing logo in popup, the text is not entered on bing translator(even if the text is selected, not selected in image). It does work if use "Translate Selected Text" from icon drop down

Edit: just tried here https://hk.yahoo.com/, simply clicking the icon shows instant results

And one question, it seems this extension is always running(as evidenced when hovering different languages for instance), is it using much resources?

    5.0.3.1200 and test version 1400

I tried with test version 1400 and the left column displayed exactly like without fbpurity enabled. Perhaps show us an image or maybe check the filters to see they haven't changed.

  10. What do you mean? You know they do change automatically when you change the skin, don't you? There are no extensions that I know of that just change the icons. I imagine it could be done within the skin files and they would only apply to default icons I would imagine.

Maybe explain better what you are trying to accomplish.

  11. Build 15060 didn't have Latin American languages when it was released, as soon as the languages became available according to the blog, build 15061 became available, Total waste for anyone who isn't from Latin America, they should have waited until they had all the languages ready. Waste of bandwidth and time, I mean really..... Luckily only one of my pc's installed 15060.

They say that you can continue using your pc if updates are  downloading in the background, but this is not the case if you are gaming, it does affect your game play, even if you have a solid machine. I would prefer that no downloading occur while I'm gaming, but there is no way to prevent it other than pausing updates, but I sure don't want to do that every time I'm gaming.

Yes, I think before month's end.  At least that is the rumor.

My Surface is installing b15061, no idea what has changed with that...

edit: It maybe a Suface specific update regarding firmware updates....

ah, probably related to language packs...
