  1. Many of us want to get a skin that display the tab bar at the bottom of the browser, like m$ Excel workbook does. Unfortunately, neither the default skin nor most skins we downloaded has this option. Today, I will teach you how to modify the skin you downloaded and move tab bar to the bottom of the window. (Note: The turtorial content is removed because this thread is locked by system. If you want to read the content, ask the admins to unlock this thread.) This is how it looks after modification: 5766 Enjoy!:victory:
  2. The default Maxthon skin does not have window title, and since each tab has limited max width (about 220 pixels), not all web page can display full title on its tab, you have to move mouse over the tab and wait a second to see a full title tooltip popup. On the other hand, the address box takes almost full row width, yet most of it is blank, kind of waste of space. It would be great if we can display the current page title in the address box, that is, both current page title and address display side by side. Here is how it looks: 5662 In this tutorial I'll teach you how to do that. (Note: The turtorial content is removed because this thread is locked by system. 4. TomHatz replied at 2013-12-14 11:40 Hey, 大笨狗 Any Idea how to move the favorites to the window frame?? Do you mean both tab bar and favorites bar in the window caption area?
  5. Many user complain about Maxthon's favorites bar, because it is not very flexible. For example, the compact mode of favorites bar is not compact at all. Look at this: 5139 This is a favorites bar in normal mode, it's about 1079 pixels in length. And this is compact mode favorites bar: 5140 It's about 945 pixels. Only 134 pixels shorter. Why compact mode is not compact at all? Because Maxthon implement this feature in the wrong way. It should display only site icons for those favorite items which are not dropdown menu, like this: 5141 It's only 552 pixels, compact enough. Then how can we change that behavior through modifying the default skin? In just 8 steps you can acheive that. (I know you can change the favorite items title to unicode character U+0160 to get the same result, but then all items will have same blank title, which is unsatisfactory.) 6. The tab bar of the default maxthon skin is rather awkward. At first, every tab is equal length, no matter how long or how short the title is. Then, as more tabs open, they shrink their length, until only the site icon and few letters remain. User can not recognize which tab is what by glancing at the tab bar. Now how about tab size fit to the title of page when the title is short, and they won't shrink too much when too many tabs open? Would it be nice to show FULL title on the current tab? Today, I will guide you how to make this happen by modifying the default skin. (Note: The turtorial content is removed because this thread is locked by system.
