  1. Hi,

I tried to sign up for Napster music service. The final page where you enter in some personal information, there is a recaptcha logo at the bottom of the webpage. After clicking submit, it says I failed the recaptcha challenge. There was never a recaptcha that popped up. I don't recall captcha being a problem in previous versions of Maxthon.

Is Version7.2.2.3200(64-bit)0804 not compatible with recaptcha? Or is there some setting I need to change to be able to get this webpage to work?

    Thanks!

by the way, I just tried Brave Browser and was able to get past this page, without changing any settings, and all Brave shields enabled.

  2. I reported this issue previously, but it is happening again.

If I go to https://www.uu.me/mail/main.html, then I see this authorization window, and I click the blue button. It momentarily shows "Success!" and then just loops me back to the 2nd window.

Can I just stop this buggy authorization window (with no login fields) from appearing? I'd prefer to not login at all, like I could with MX5, but if you won't let me do that, please just let me login with my username and password, so I don't have to deal with this hassle.

By the way, it still works in MX5, without logging in, using this direct link from the main menu?

I have to keep MX5 installed on my PC, just for this purpose. Can we not get this feature in MX7?

  3. OK, thanks for explaining, BugSir009. I think this points out a larger problem with how QuickAccess is currently implemented. QuickAccess are essentially just bookmarks, but with a couple additional data points attached (like color of tile, or screen shot option).

But because they have been stored in a silo, the user no longer has the flexibility to easily re-organize them. For example, let's say I have a QA folder with 9 websites stored in there. I decide I no longer want them to appear on the new tab page, because I want to make room for other things there, but I still want to keep them as bookmarks. If the QA access was integrated into the MaxNote bookmarks, I could just go into the bookmark manager and drag and drop the entire folder from "QuickAccess" to "Maxthon bookmarks" (or any other subfolder). But again, in their current silo, I would have to manually create 9 new bookmarks, and manually copy and paste 9 different website names, and 9 different URLs to achieve the same outcome.

At least, if the devs can implement an export to CSV function, this would allow easier transfer to other browsers, backup of data to offline storage, and easier re-organization within Maxthon itself.

    Thank you!

  4. Is there any way to export the QuickAccess data as a CSV bookmarks file. I know that MX7 creates a backup copy of the QuickAccess data in %AppData\Local\Maxthon\Application\User Data\Profile 1\Backups\QuickAccess; however, it is in a *.dat file, and I'm not sure what if any programs would be able to parse the data.

All of the other favorites and bookmarks can be exported to CSV for importing into other programs, but it would be useful to also be to at least export the URLs and website names of the sites stored as QuickAccess tiles on the new tab page.

  5. @Wilser, I'm using 5.0.4.1000, had to downgrade for a while because the latest version was causing strange behavior on my PC.

@MaxthonDevs, if you are going to support skins, wouldn't it be better to actually have an option within the program to "load" a skin, rather than making the user overwrite files in the Bin folder, which requires admin privleges? It's not a very elegant way to implement this feature.
