I 'm not sure to understand : if you were not connected after the update, you should not have lost anything, just connect and sync ad everything will be there again.

I thought autoupdate was fixed (maybe not in your version), but only works for stable release (not beta)

I encounter the same issue as yours with cakebox, but I just ignore the 2nd authentification window, then it works.

By clean install, I was talking about deleting the maxthon folder in appdata (old data can make maxthon unstable), it's not a workaround.
I usually don't keep so many tabs open, maybe it's why I never experimented all those crashes you describe ? could a high consumption be the cause of these issues ?

The one in Windows 10 is pretty neat too. Basically the same, just a little different layout.
