thats for sure - but then you/we/i dont have to join everything - take mobile phones as an example - i have one - it will do many things i am told - i make and receive the odd phone call on it - i have received a few texts - never actually sent one - so i appreciate the technology but happy not to be fully part of it

they are encrypted so whatever language you learn will not help - if they are old files make a copy of whats there and copy them over the newer files

if you want i have window1 on a floppy somewhere - yes a floppy - just one - i always meant to install it but dont have a pc with a floppy drive these days

theres usually a way back - 8 got all sorts of bad reviews for not having this or that or that metro was/is awful - pretty much all that was missing has been added by 3rd party programs and i and many others have not seen metro since 5 minutes after 8 was installed
nothing wrong with progress as long as there are alternatives where needed

cpanel works for me - usual login details - go to any page and its fine - refresh any page and its fine
will add - not tested all functions - just clicked trough a few pages - pressed refresh and it does not ask me to log in again - maybe we are looking at it differently but as i say i have no problems

they are good - like everything you get used to them and they become the norm so after a while you forget how slow things were before

i guess it depends on local energy costs - the days of leaving any appliance or even a light bulb on 24/7 are long gone in the uk
i have added ssd drives to my 2 working computers - use sleep mode and the boot time is seconds

the start button is better than the one in 8 - it was not there but is still a pale comparison to what people are used to in 7 and earlier - there are ways to get back what was/is in 7 - Startisback being just one of many
aero is still missing although its been asked for repeatedly - there is talk that Microsoft may bring it back - i hope so - again there is a way of adding it but the programmer makes more enemy's than friends with his attitude to donationware
i beleve 10 is still planned to be a free upgrade to 8 so i guess like many i will get it as and when - have tried an early beta and it just seems like 8.2

what can anyone say - thats your experience - it works for me - i cannot remember the last crash i had
usual help is try a clean install
how many tabs do you have open - what extensions are you running - how many favourites do you have - what is the spec of your pc
other browsers may work - thats nothing to do with the problem
when pointing a finger remember 3 point back at you

maybe try it as most folk do with a not screwed version of windows or whatever - i have no idea what your post means - maybe the way you work is half the trouble ;P
put another way - i have no problem

dont agree with that - i have used my own skin since MX3 - yes its had to be updated along the way - but never anything major
the problem that some skins have is they are a complete copy of whats in ui.dat - that can and does create problems - just having the mods you want in the skin and using most from ui.dat works better

where is this red dot :o - never seen it that i can remember - that said i use my own skin - so i guess thats the answer - if you dont like it make or find a skin that you like

its always been a problem getting settings to stick - alter 2 and only 1 will stick - so alter one setting at a time and close the browser after each setting change or search for the config.ini file in users ......... maxthon3 - the settings are in there - you can change it and save it - if it still reverts you can write protect it - that may or may not suit you as other things are then not updated on closing the browser

i know that the minute i turn my pc on and access the internet there are risks - i dont think there are more or less with this - like i said press the off button or use another browser
nothing will happen until they get back to work so you have to choose

complete rubbish imo - if you are worried about all you say then find the off button on your computer - that will solve all you are worried about

whats the latest build Larry - i played with an early release and thought it pretty good and i think its moved on a bit since then
just sorted a 64bit laptop out of a couple of faulty ones so might have another look
i think i am in some sort of program with Microsoft where i can download it - have to look where from as i have not bothered much
