  1. I think there's some confusion in what you're after.

I couldn't find any extentions which would support opening and editing of Adobe reader forms ...

Here you're asking about extensions to open/edit forms? Are these different to standard PDF's?

So looks like nobody knows any extentions for PDF opening ?

Here you're asking about opening PDF's only.

Maxthon can natively open PDF's. It uses the same PDF viewer as Chrome. You can also edit/insert text into fields if the PDF supports it. Test file here: http://www.thewebjockeys.com/TheWebJockeys/Fillable_PDF_Sample_from_TheWebJockeys_vC5.pdf

Frankly speaking I do not know how, but IE can open and edit PDF forms ..  When I am trying to open the same form in Maxthon, there is just an empty window

Again, can you link to the problematic file? It's hard to offer any sort of feedback when we don't know what it is that we are actually trying to resolve/look into.

heres a screenshot of my extension page, showing the update link is missing

Ah right... When you said "update extension link" i thought you meant the text "update" link as shown on http://extension.maxthon.com/shared/ where it shows "View Update Delete"

Interestingly, when i went to double check that page it was also missing, but refreshing fixed it. Although I did notice that after the page reloads that link is the very last thing to load every single time.

    Any errors in the console?

Hey Rob, could you help provide a screenshot with "update" button showing so I can compare yours and FB Purity's.

  3. If they did change the sizing an updated SDK would be nice so dev's can update their extensions accordingly.

Also if it is a size change, then i'd hope it would auto-detect the correct size if the 20px image is in addition to the others. At least that way it will look correct whether a user is still on an older version or MX5.

Hi Rob, our technician has pushed a new UA to this site, so users should visit it's older format in version 5.0.3.4000 now.

Doesn't seem to have happened yet. Manually changing to the IE11 UA works (but not something i want to have set permanently), so i'm guessing that's the UA that's going to be pushed.

BTW, in my test, it shows the purple pop-up every time I refresh the page, and cannot play any music. Is that the same with you?

    Correct.

Good to hear that something is happening :)

  5. Auto mode added in v1.4.0!!

Uploaded to extension centre. Will hopefully be available next week some time.

Your Night Mode (MX4 style) extension is GREAT. I love your work

Thanks, but i can't take too much credit for it. Using the original code from the MX4 extension created by their devs. I just made it work as best i could as an extension seeing as the new one wasn't received too well by users.

  6. Ok, seems they have dropped a few features. I'm guessing their telemetry may have shown it wasn't used much so figured they can remove it without too much of a backlash.

hey are busy changing for change sake imo - stripping stuff out and breaking some 3rd party software i use but thats as it is with Microsoft

    Such as?

While that may be the case, they provide the platform and it's up to the software developers to ensure that what they create works on it. Microsoft can't leave windows stuck in the 90's just because some developers don't want to utilise new API's or haven't updated their code due to security updates or other changes.

While it might be nice for everything to stay the same, things constantly change, technology being among the fastest and ever changing.

this is where they work on Onecore.

I thought this has already been incorporated? Only tweaking now.

Who is planning on continuing with windows insider program?

Only using it on a VM, so i'll keep up with the updates. Always interesting to see what they've got going on.

they seem to do something similar in index and layout.htm - the latter is called in the former -

Nah, the equivalent in HTML for JS was tried as noted in the first post (code below). Just isn't working, or maybe not as I'm expecting. not sure if it's because it's an extension or something else.
I'd have this all sorted out had it not been for this. Been racking my head for a workaround which is getting more convoluted by the day. But this is the easiest and simplest method and I can't get it to work.

        <script type="text/javascript" src="js/file1.js"></script>
        <script type="text/javascript" src="js/file2.js"></script>

No idea if it's new player or not

It's not. The new one doesn't have the left sidebar or the media controls on the right.

ABP was the first thing I checked, probably should have noted that above.

Old player worked fine with the default and my custom UA. But as above the UA doesn't affect the new site.

Originally, i thought I found the solution using Retro.. .but that's no the case. Ads make it not workable. So definitely a bug.
