The settings window is white, even though the dark theme is selected! And the purpose of the switch is unclear. Previously, it was for enabling the toolbar. But now it's unclear what it does, and it doesn't work.

Translation is missing in the notes window.

I mentioned previouslly in Maxthon PC 7.3.1.8200 topic about access to maxthon.com from Windows 11. Especially access to profile settings. The same applies to 7.3.1.8400 too

In this version, sites from Quick Access open in a new tab, and before that - not. Please fix it. It's very inconvenient now.

Maxthon still has problems logging into TikTok, even with disabled extensions and Incognito mode. It works without problems in MS Edge.

Yes. But even if I manage to log-in via a "trick" (via "forget password" method), it will only fork for a few minutes and then there will be a message "We're having trouble playing this video. Please refresh and try again." on every video I try to play. I think TikTok is generally incompatible with Maxthon, perhaps because of an outdated browser core or something. On Edge it works without problems.

Been on holiday for 2 weeks & upon return, Maxthon auto-updated (first time seen it do that in over a year!), but it's added the awful Bright VPN, which isn't listed in Maxthon extensions, but is on the extension page, with no option to remove it, implying it's now built-in...
I don't see any references to it in the changelogs.
Since I already have a better VPN, I obviously don't want to lessen protection or slow/interfere browsing, can this be removed?
Disabling it may prevent function, but it doesn't release wasted resources (i.e. RAM, SSD, CPU, etc).

Since I sign-in, I instead found that in: C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Maxthon\7.3.1.8600\default_apps\
& in: C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Maxthon\User Data\Profile 1\Extensions\
& in: C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Maxthon\User Data\Profile 1\Local Extension Settings\
However, renaming all of them didn't make any difference as it's still listed in Extensions (never listed when clicking the extension icon), but now has a 'greyed out' icon:

Searched for "bright vpn" in all 18313(!) files in my Maxthon folder/sub-folders (including caches) & found 91 occurrences.
Disregarding language files & the like & that leaves:
C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Maxthon\7.3.1.8600\chrome.dll
C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Maxthon\User Data\Profile 1\Preferences
The fact it's in "chrome.dll" doesn't bode well!
