Maxthon PC 7.3.1.4000 beta

+ Added enhanced download for magnet links with click-to-open download window.
* Optimized FAS data and synchronization mechanisms.
- Fixed an issue where Bing opened a whiteboard.
- Fixed an issue where some webpage images failed to load.
- Fixed an issue where video downloads were stuck in queue and optimized video content downloading.

First notice 
I lost all my QuickAccess links
not even after a restart or a pc restart
they're no longer there

 

Second Notice
My facebook issue
where I have facebook page as a pinned page used to start Maxthon with it opened without having to be refreshed 
It's been this way this beta and the last two betas I think if not more
and it's not because of the extension for it happens after a safe mode restart too

I also got the FB Purity extension back although it was removed before upgrading to this beta
 

and Microsoft Power Automate extension too (was removed too)

and Urban VPN Proxy extension

this must be due to the new beta getting them from an old backed up copy instead of the local user data

Pop-up video could pause/play on tap anywhere. Also, sometimes the back and forward icon disappear.

Loading magnet links still doesn't work. Bright VPN installation is still required. Even when you enable advanced loading, when you click on a magnet link, a pop-up window opens again asking you to go to settings and enable advanced loading with Bright VPN installation. Just make it possible to load magnet links without enabling any additional advanced loading and without Bright VPN, as it is implemented in Microsoft Edge. Why are you complicating everything?

Nothing was fixed. The problem is still the same.

Make it possible to download magnet links without installing the bright vpn program and its extension. Well, I don't need your bright vpn.

Hi Mhzayer, could you download and install this new version again? The development team has just rectified this issue earlier on.

This could be due to the extensions enabling itself issue and the team will look into it.

I had the same problem. I redownloaded the version, everything became normal with the quick access panel (tabs returned).

New versions of maxthon are coming out, but the problem of releasing fast downloads for everyone without having to subscribe is still blocked. For what reason do you not want to restore this feature? Is it a foregone conclusion that this feature will never be restored. Best regards to the maxthon team

Hi alexzhus, I have informed the team about this and it will be optimized soon. Kindly download and install the version again tomorrow to test on magnet link download issue.

Firefox is my alternative to whom I switch to every time something does not work in Maxthon, which is lately to often.
Vivaldi also showed a lot of promise but lacked one crucial feature which I can't live without - open new tabs from addressbar by pressing enter. This however can be fixed by manually editing some files.

Now loading magnet links works, after installing bright vpn.

Without installing bright vpn, when you click on the magnet link, a window opens with a suggestion to go to settings. After closing this window, there is another window under it, through which you can start downloading. Is it possible to get rid of the first window?

Hi alexzhus, it's not possible for now. Might have to wait till they separate the magnet links from Bright VPN for future versions.

even with the newly downloaded .4000

And Yes Bugsir009 I did check it with safe mode (not using any extension)
this is been for tha last few betas

User Data will not Copy and Paste from 4000 into 4200 x64 Portable.

I have a problem with my accounts. In maxthon_portable_7.3.1.3600 when I launched the program, I had to choose which account I wanted to use and even create another account (see fig. 1) but since the update to version maxthon_portable_7.3.1.3800, this window has disappeared. Now, as soon as I launch Mx, it is the window (see Fig. 2) that appears. In this window, there is only the registered account. The guest account is gone, and I can't even create new accounts. The version maxthon_portable_7.3.1.4000 is not able to correct the issue. What happened developers?
Why are there still issues related to accounts in some versions of Maxthon? It is as if patch updates always destroy something in the program. That is very sad.

For now, I'm going back to the version maxthon_portable_7.3.1.3600 until the next update. Even though I really like it very much Maxthon, it's these kinds of problems that prevent me from using the installable version or putting maxthon as the default program.

I hope developers will fix this issue.

I'm unaware if other browsers restrict magnet link functionality behind premium or paid features. If so, I find this practice unacceptable, and it discourages me from using the browser.
