Window flickers with nVidia Fast vsync

Recommended Posts

Basically, this, but in Maxthon:

https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/issues/28762

Description

The entire Maxthon window flickers when running with "Fast" Vertical Sync mode enabled in NVIDIA control panel and HW acceleration enabled in browser and set do Default(DX11).

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Install Windows + NVIDIA Control Panel + NVIDIA Drivers.
  2. In NVIDIA Control Panel set 3D Settings > Manage 3D Settings > Vertical Sync to "Fast" and click Apply.
  3. Open maxthon and navigate around the web for a minute (happens in mx://settings even). Switching tabs seems to trigger it the most.

Hi! This version works fine: no flickering, plus no problems with youtube video lagging (wrote about it in nearby post).

P.S. It is also faster, for example here, https://web.basemark.com/, in street view it's smooth, while Maxthon is laggy regardless of acceleration/rendering settings.

Hi SnipER.UA, noted with thanks. The development team will optimize it in future versions.
