I just sent them to Recycle Bin and restarted Maxthon. Nothing happened, only MaxNote again keeps "loading" but I don't use it frequently. Also, for some reason I could not find File System folder on Recycle Bin and I moved CacheStorage to C and restarted the laptop to see if any change. Nothing changed so I consider it was safe to delete both folders and save more than 6 GB space of C. Only thing is now I prefer local account because if I log in with my MX account it's like opening it for first time, like fresh install. I have many cookies and settings, so I back up them before I reinstall Windows. Have a good night! Hi, In order to save space, I suggested you keep a Backup and then delete the 2 folders. Even so, Maxthon recreates them. If you connect to your account and synchronize your data (if you had synchronized it before the problem you have now) you will have all your data as the last time you synchronized. All your codes will return, but you will need to re-enter them on each site where you have entered codes (don't write them down, as soon as you click on the username/code field it will show you the saved codes). Windows has nothing to do with Maxthon, everything you need is in the "USER DATA/profile" folder of Maxthon. I will suggest you to download the latest portable version of Maxthon from here https://github.com/maxthon/Maxthon/releases/tag/7.3.1.1105 Unzip the downloaded file where you want, then open Maxthon and connect to your data, and you're done synchronizing. Whatever goes wrong, just delete the Maxthon folder you downloaded and everything is fine, the installed version is not affected. You can do whatever test you want without damaging your installed version, e.g. you can put the Backup folder you have, connect, and close/open Maxthon and see if everything is ok. Finally, if I understood correctly, you were ALWAYS working in a local account and NEVER in a connected account, because otherwise, as soon as you connected, Maxthon would sync the last items that were synced. PS. I hope you understand what I'm saying because I don't know English well, the text is from a Google translation. Xahi4475
Migel, I'm using local account only from this alpha version. This local account was created by Maxthon itself in alpha version (based on my MX account). Earlier versions had only Guest and MX account. That confused me. Until last 7.2 version always I was connected to my account. But, I have many settings and cookies. I don't want to start again from 0. Sample, if I open Gmail, Google will send me warnings I opened it in new device and must verify it with e-mail and phone and bla bla bla. Many sites will do that. Anyway not big deal. Have fun this cold wednesday.

Have fun this cold wednesday. I am always connected to my email, which has created a subfolder called PROFILE 1 in the User Data folder (I don't have any other folder called profile) If you log in as a Guest, it creates another Profile folder with a different name, possibly. Τhe only thing ever i do is: 1. Download the latest portable version 2. Unzip the downloaded file 3. Add my Backup USER Folder in the same folder where exist the Maxthon folder. 4. I open Maxthon and everything is ok without any prob. So far no version has given me any problems like yours. (I remember a long time ago I also did tests with the user data folder and somewhere I got confused and damaged it and was left without Backup, then I had to synchronize and then I did what you mention about it with Google warnings etc). Good luck on this freezing Wednesday. 1
