How to add

1. On the top right, click the browser menu (Alt+F) > Settings > General > Default engine > Manage engines > Add search engine

2. Fill out the text fields and click OK.

3. If you cannot find the search engine from the search engine list, please hover on the search engine the click Default.

How to customize the search engine URL:

1. Go to the search engine you want to add.

2. Do a search.

3. Copy and paste the web address of the search results page into the URL field. The address for the search results page is different from the website address.

For example, if you search for "soccer," the Google search results URL is http://www.google.com/search?q=soccer.

4. Replace the search term in the URL with %s.

For example, if you were using the Google search results URL, your search engine address would be http://www.google.com/search?q=%s.

Attached a video for your reference.

How to use "Keyword"

Enter the keyword in the address bar then press the "Space," it will switch to that search engine quickly.

@BugSir006 in the URL you have the ffollowing option:

image.png.1b5db0693a9477fea3a853f5203a1fad.png

Which you could include into this guide (I think it is easier do achieve in 2 clicks rather than:

1On the top right, click the browser menu (Alt+F) > Settings > General > Default engine > Manage engines > Add search engine

However at the moment I think it is broken because it redirects me to the Tabs submenu, instead of the edit search engines one.

If you change search engine, you will not be able to use features such as "Search images in Google".

Hi there, could you describe this issue in detail? I tried to add this Google image link to the search engine, it can be used.

When we change default search engine, shortcuts and features in Google Services are not available. For example; "Search image in Google" shortcut when we right click on image

Hi, To get started, open Chrome's settings by clicking the three dots at top-right. Click Search engine then Manage search engines, or go directly to chrome://settings/searchEngines . From here, you can add new search engines

This won't work with maxthon
It will take you to mx://settings/

Hello @BugSir006, just a comment on the user experience of managing the search engines.

For some time now I'm very cautious around the "Restore" link in the top right corner of the search engine list. I'm really not going to test its functionality now since in the past it immediately and without asking erased all my manually predefined engines (tens of them) 😐 Unless this has already been dealt with, could you please consider either removing the "Restore" link altogether (users would still be able to remove the unwanted engines one by one) or add some kind of warning notification when clicking on the Restore link, something like "Do you really want to remove all your custom search engine definitions? Yes/No"? Thanks in advance for looking into this.

It would be fantastic if they add a way of exporting and importing search engines
