I'm planning to reinstall Windows, I don't want to lose my saved passwords in Maxthon (in Passkeeper), is there a way to backup the passwords so I can restore them when I install Maxthon again? Without the Maxthon account (I'm not logged in, as I understand I'm using the guest account).

Maybe there's a file I can backup or the User Data folder or smth like that?

Hi Trueman, you may log on to Passkeeper and click on 'Export' to export a copy of passkeeper file.

Thanks for the response. I don't have an Export button, only Sync... Maxthon v. 7.2.2.4000

Here's a screenshot:

Hi Trueman, please try again with the latest 7.2.2.4600 version and let me know if you see the export button?

I just updated to 7.2.2.4800 and I saw in the changelog that the export feature was added for the Passkeeper

However, I still don't have the Export button in the Passkeeper, it's the same as on my previous screenshot, there's only the Sync button.

Do I need to be logged into the Maxthon account to have the Export feature? Because I'm in guest mode.

Hi Trueman, yes you need to logon to Maxthon account to use the export feature. This is not available in guest account.

Thanks for the response. Is there a way to backup passwords while using guest account? Maybe there's a file I can backup or what if I backup the entire User Data folder? Will it work?

Hi Trueman, unfortunately no as passkeeper is encrypted.

Since I'm currently using Maxthon in guest mode, if I register an account an log into it, will my passwords from my current guest account also be present in my new Maxthon account or will I lose them?

Hi Trueman, you could backup a copy of your user data first and then import the data once you are logged on.

Thanks for the response. Could you tell me how to do that (backup and import)?

Hi Trueman, go to Settings < General < Maxthon Account < Open your local account folder and backup the whole user data folder to your computer.

Next once you are logged on, go to Settings < General < Account Information < Restore from local
