Hello

I've made a discuss with our developer team. And if it convenient we invite you have a remote via teamviewer. It would be great if you can help us solve this issue.

And which country are you from? We can make an appointment for this issue. Thanks!

Here you have a solution to your problem :)

Notepad starts by default without administrative rights. Therefore, you must follow these steps:

Step 1. Open your Windows start menu, search for the notepad application and then right click the notepad icon.

Step 2. Choose “Run as administrator” and then, while inside notepad, browse to folder (/windows/system32/drivers/etc) that contains the hosts file.

You can now edit and save that file in the same folder without any issues.

Why do you have quotation marks at the end " ? This should not be like that.

And as he writes:

"The IP address should be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name. The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one space"

So save it like that:  60.206.195.123    pc-newtab.maxthonimg.com

bugsir screen is not like thet

Bugsir's is wrong or is different for some other reason. The examples 5 lines above your addition show how the correct format for the file should be.

There's no guarantee that bugsir's suggestion was going to help, at least try the correct format and see if does anything.

Also, to check that the hosts file change is working add:

127.0.01   www.maxthon.com

Restart Maxthon and goto www.maxthon.com. You should get an error. If not, then the changes to the file aren't working. Delete the line once tested.

You can also try adding www.maxthon.com     127.0.0.1 to confirm that adding it the wrong way doesn't work.

1.Open the host file

找到host文件.png

2.open that file

3.Add a new line on the original basis(be sure a new line) and the new line content should be: pc-newtab.maxthonimg.com 60.206.195.123 (be sure there only one blank between pc-newtab.maxthonimg.com and 60.206.195.123)

You've been given help 3 times by 2 different users and have dismissed it because, for whatever reason you deem BugSir006's information more relevant than ours.

This is despite the information being clear and concise, and explicitly detailed in the file you are modifying. If you don't want to do the test, that's fine - just say so.

I apologise if this post comes off as a little blunt, but there is nothing more annoying than people asking for help, then completely ignoring it without giving a valid reason why, or even trying what was requested.

While I don't know if what was suggested is going to fix anything, I do know that you won't get anywhere following bugsirs advice in this situation.

maybe it's the reason why it does not work ?

Maybe, but the test that bugsir006 posted was never a guaranteed fix - just a check/test.

Which is why i posted above how to check that the changes to the HOSTS file are actually working... but you know, my posts seem to be hidden from users...
