Kilmatar
1. Maxthon is running and minimized to tray 2. Click any link, f.e. in email 3. New Maxthon's window is created instead of opening minimized Maxthon and creating new tab
PHYR
With an internal version clicking a link in Outlook Mail opens a new tab from a minimized M5 window. Maybe it will be fixed in next release.

New Maxthon's window is created instead of opening minimized Maxthon and creating new tab There used to be an option "Only allow one Maxthon window" in MX4. Seems this was dropped in MX5. But as PHYR said, this doesn't happen in the most recent internal test version.
Kilmatar
BTW such behaviour can be formalized with a new option "Open new tab from external link"
rick.lane
I tried minimizing to the tray and to the taskbar and both instances opens a new tab, not a new window. However, I am using a newer internal version for this test so maybe it's something that has been fixed. Try just minimizing to the taskbar instead of to the tray and see if you get the same result, at least until a new version is released. And when you do desire 2 instances of Maxthon, right click the task bar icon and select "New Window".
7twenty
There's no need for that as MX always opens a new tab when following a link from other programs. Only time it doesn't is for URLs typed in the address bar, or page links/favourites if you don't have the option selected as shown above.
