uumail Problems with verifying uumail

I had problems with verifying my Gmail address with UUMail. I've tried it multiple times but it fails always with te same error:

Email not verified.

When I resend the verification mail and click the link, it says that the email is verified. Once I am back in UUMail and press 'Has verified', it says that the email is not verified and I try again. After a lot of trying it says that I can't resend the verification email anymore, so I should wait a few minutes.

This problem is very annoying. Each time I start Maxthon and click the user icon in the left corner of the window, it asks me to verify my email address.

Can anyone help me?

I use a macbook air (11 inch), running OSX Sierra.
