hi ... will uninstalling / disabling internet explorer help lower high CPU usage in Maxthon browser?

Recommended Posts

I dont use the  IE11  that came ''factory'' with the Windows 8.1 laptop I have, but Maxthon uses IE's proxy server ..... but these pop-ups that say  ''high  CPU  usage / Maxthon cloud browser''  from my webpage are happening way too much!

all my devices are updated and it's not the flash player what could it be?

(I'll try anything to reduce high CPU even if it means removing internet explorer)  ... what should I do?

(OS): windows 8.1 (64 bit) w/o the new Windows 10 (didn't like it)

thx in advance ...

Try unchecking the "Use IE Proxy" and see if that helps.

ii've tried everything, including that .... and still getting CPU  popup mssgs

(it's probably a simple fix, but what the h*ll could it be, #1MF?)

forgive me if it is an odd question, but how unisntalling ie is supposed to reduce maxthon CPU usage in ultramode ?

Have no idea, but he is asking how to disable, so am giving him some options.  :questionmark-smiley-01:

I have some questions :

Which maxthon version ? and how old/powerful is your laptop ?

how many pages are open when this happens (ie  lots of running videos at the same time ? games ?)

did you try another browser and do you encounter the same issue ?

What is saying this?

And answers as asked by ody above would be helpful.
