How to block adf.ly ads?

Recommended Posts

I am really mad, that I have to wait x seconds on certain pages. Is there a general solution for this? E.g. mobilism.org or other pages with adf.ly or linkbucks ads.... THX for your help.

various programs block the ads - i use ad muncher - not sure if maxthon can but i still get the countdown clock - same with all those types of sites - the ad is what pays them so they do their best to make you watch it or at least seem to

For mobilism.org you could use this:###_GINTERBG

##div{display:block !important;}The ad works by adding a "_GINTERBG" div id over the page and switching all the "wrap" divs to "display:none". There may be a universal way (maybe someone knows?) to select all divs and force them to have display:block.

where do you get those ad gateways ?? - I get zero...

edit: unless you mean just page-ads, NOT gateways. All that'd take to block is this:http://ap.lijit.com/adif_px.php?z=131032&u=mobilism'>http://ap.lijit.com/adif_px.php?z=131032&u=mobilism

http://ap.lijit.com/adif_px.php?z=131033&u=mobilismedit: oh those: your adhunter rules don't block it, unless I am missing something: they might block the ad, but it doesn't skip the waiting time. try the extension on the link I've provided in my first post on this thread.

@ Imanerd, there is a way to skip the waiting time, see my previous post.

I did already. It didn't block them. The BIG BOLD text is referring to your rules, I just didn't have the energy in me to type out and get the precise spelling, and because I was lazy, sorry. Also because I had replied to the original post, and the forum for some reason, doesn't quote text if replying to the FIRST post. Sorry.

We're both talking about the counter on the site http://www.mobilism.org , right? The following rules seem to remove the counter, or am I missing something?

###_GINTERBG

##div{display:block !important;}

Ah, ok, now I get it. Yeah, I was trying to get the counter solely through CSS.
