Borders and menus with Flash

Recommended Posts

The last few versions of 4.9 have had a problem with flash vids when viewed in full screen. Version 21.0.0.182, quite sure this happens with other versions as well. The upper frame is vissible and the auto hide menu doesn't show properly, it remains mostly hidden.

It happens with every flash video I can find. I did a clean install and am using default flash player v18.0.0.232. (happens with updated flash too) Win10b14295. I've also tried from a clean guest account, no extensions or skins.

It did not occur with the JW 7.3 flash player, that player displayed fine.

Same here, the youtube/verge/engadget links you can't even see the bottom navbar. Not sure why, but it's showing the videos in its own fullscreen window instead of actually being fullscreen with no chrome. And it's not even right to the edge, you can still see the background apps around the bottom/left/right edges.

Yahoo video seems to be ok?

Bugsir: "Does this occur on every flash video you play? Please give us the specific link to test."

Have you tried a flash video where it doesn't happen?

7twenty:  "Yahoo video seems to be ok?"

How does that help? You're acknowledging that the issue exists with the other sites?

Bugmiss:  "Did you try the newest version 4.9.2.500?"

Have you?

It was an observation that shows that there's something that determines how the video is displayed. It's not a blanket "all Flash videos" as you noted initially, at least not for me.

What's more interesting is that you're stating that the issue occurs on that site, while it's not happening for me.

I can also confirm this issue.

And this user http://forum.maxthon.com/index.php?/topic/18312-maxthon-49-błędy/&page=4#comment-100316 also reported similar problems.
