Milija17
After some previous versions refused to auto-update and always showed the browser was up-to-date (confirmed bug, I know), this version (4.4.8.100) a couple of days ago updated itself to beta version - first to 4.9.0.300 and then it offered an update to 4.9.1.100. It was only after tragically bad browsing experience with this beta, I decided to reinstall to see if it helps - and then I saw it says BETA, even though I never use beta browsers, nor have I done anything by myself. New beta is terrible, you can see the benchmark in another thread - http://forum.maxthon.com/index.php?/topic/18683-pages-reload-randomly/&do=findComment&comment=97913

The few times in the long past when I tried to get an update that way, it didn't work. I do not rely on automatic updating on any browser, it's always marked "Ask first" or equivalent where it's available. I don't know how you got an auto-update, but it is strange. <<SL>>
Milija17
I have to apologize, I ran through my e-mails from last week, and it turned out I did install beta myself, but it was after receiving an email from technical support stating "The problem has been solve in our latest version. Would you please have a try of the latest version ? http://forum.maxthon.com/index.php?/topic/18712-maxthon-browser-for-windows-v4903000-rc-released/ " Since I didn't notice RC in the headline, nor in the description (because it came as an official support message), I thought it was the stable version and just clicked and installed it. Sorry for the misinformation, this topic should be locked.
