winpc resolved [WinPC Resolved] Maxthon wants to download

Maxthon: 4.4.8.1000

With some websites (eg http://chomikuj.pl/) Maxthon is automatically trying to download a file (for http://chomikuj.pl/ its Empty.aspx). I think it has something to do with the cookies information

but I don't know. Its very annoying, only happens on some sites. Does anyone know of something I can do to sort the problem out.

 

It doesn't happen on 4.9.0.100 but that has other issues and I'm reverted from that back to 4.4.8.1000

No problem here. 

Did you try to perform clean Maxthon installation?

Do you use default Mx downloader or some 3rd party dl manager?

Its a possibility - I'll try it out. This machine was upgraded from 3 to 4, downgraded because 4 wouldn't read comments on the FT website and then upgraded again later when it would. Poor thing could have become confused.

Found it. Adfender was the problem
