Outdated Browser Version

I frequently get the following message:

"Outdated Browser Version: Time Warner Cable has noticed that you are using an outdated browser version. Some features on our website may not be available or perform optimally. To get the most out of our website, we recommend that you upgrade to the latest version of your browser.
Upgrade now: Chrome | Safari | Firefox | Internet Explorer"

Got fix?

Hi,

Glad to talk to you.

Maxthon 4.4.8.1000's default user agent string uses a kind of old version of Chrome. That's why some cites may warn you that you are using an outdated browser version.

To get rid of this annoying notification, you may consider to change the User Agent string (in Maxthon advanced settings--Others--Customize User Agent string ) to Chrome or Firefox or to one appropriate User agent from this list http://forum.maxthon.com/index.php?/topic/10453-updated-user-agent/#comment-55128

I hope you will find this information useful:)

How about this problem, with Google Calendar, where it says Maxthon

is an outdated browser.   I have already attempted to change User Agent

to deal with this and it still appears....see attached

As 7twenty says, Google Calendar works with no error message in 4.9.0.3000 RC.  You are using 4.4.8.1000 which uses the core from Chrome 30 so 18 generations behind the current version (48).  You have two options: (1) change your User Agent string to one that has a version of Chrome of 39 or greater; or (2) Update to Maxthon 4.9.0.3000 RC which will simultaneously update the Chrome core to 39.

I include options #1 in case you have some reason to stick with 4.4.8.1000.

Works fine here on 4.4.8.1000 with updated custom UA.
