During recent months, many enthusiastic users have been giving us good advice to improve our products. Firstly, thanks a lot for your support. In fact some of the suggestions can be realized through extensions. Now, on this point, i would love to introduce you some surprising features that can help to improve many users' browsing experience. 

 

Ⅰ.Violentmonkey

This is an extension adapted from chrome, basically it is a super great extension as it is very useful in our daily lives.
Sorry for using such simple words to describe it, just like when I describe Maxthon I always say is a very good browser : ) You know what, time will tell, you will definitely understand why I say that when you try it.

Usage scenarios:

Always wanna download YouTube videos but have problems of doing that? Well, this extension will help you.

Instructions:

1.Install this extension.

2.Open https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/1317-download-youtube-videos-as-mp4 ;

3.Install this script > Confirm installation in the new page ;

4.Open a YouTube video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yu0wY69HBUU

5.You can see a "Download" icon. Click it and you can download the video now!

6.There are a lot more useful scripts of Violentmonkey, I will introduce them to you next time!

 

ⅡTurn Off the Lights

A very powerful video auxiliary tool that allows you to watch video, with a greatly enhanced video experience.

Usage scenarios:

Anytime that you do not want to see the video in full screen, especially in evening, in evening, in evening!!! 

The important thing should be said three times! 

For instance, when you turn off the lights in evening and you want to watch some YouTube videos, do you think the white background is harmful to your eyes? 
If yes, I strongly suggest you download this extension right now!
If you really don’t care about these issues, I still advise you have a go with this extension, I guarantee that it will offer you better video experience.

Instructions:

1.After installing, just click this extension.

2.Too simple? No no no! This extension has more features.

Right click the extension > Settings.

For example, you can adjust the background color, add some fun little special effects to the background and choose to open/close this feature on a specific website, set time to use this feature etc.

Green "Install this script" button on the page linked. If Violent Monkey is installed then it will automatically detect it and import it. You just have to confirm the install, button top right.

No pictures might be my fault when i fixed up some things in the post. Pretty sure they were still there after doing it though?!

This time i will show you two useful extensions that offers you better browsing experience.

Ⅰ.Imagus

We all know that image is one of the most important elements in websites. You probably have seen hundreds of images everyday on Internet, from Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, flicker and etc.
If you have the habit of searching and viewing pictures, I strongly suggest you install this extension.

I don't think they can be considered GIFs, they are actual video. My favorite used to be BSR screen recorder(it used to be completely free I think), it could save the files in avi, swf or wmv. You can find thousands of free screen recorders(well at least free to try) here: http://download.cnet.com/s/screen-recorder/ Others can run up to $300 like Camtasia.

404. That’s an error.

The requested URL /calendar/ was not found on this server.That’s all we know

All the others work fine.

I think this is because of new interface of calendar.
Because when I opened calendar to check it, Google offered me something and I accepted this offer. Ofter this calendar works in new interface for me.
I fixed the link. Now this is https://calendar.google.com/calendar/. It works in new interface, but I can not check in it old.
And I tried to use https://www.google.com/calendar/. I hope it work for all version of calendar.

It looks like Google missed adding a redirect from the root google.com domain to the new address on the https secure version of the URL.

i.e.

Old URL https://google.com/calendar/ does *not* automatically forward to new https://calendar.google.com/calendar/

but

Old http://google.com/calendar/ *does* automaticallly forward to new https://calendar.google.com/calendar/

However ...

www.google.com/calendar redirects properly from both http & https

When enabling Turn Off the Lights I'm not able to access to the configuration menu of the video (even after disabling the extension). It gets fixed by just refreshing the page.

I love this extension, specially because my eyes are very sensitive to light. Thanks for sharing.
