That is, suppose there are 27 items in today's history, and I want to keep 5 of them, is there any way of deleting the other 22 in one go? Or do you have to delete them one by one? I have just found out the hard way that if you click the cross to the left of the date heading, it deletes everything for that day immediately without warning.
