Thanks for reply. Those are not Mb, but Kb and if you look at that bottom line, it's only 10.98% of your CPU usage. 7twenty
They are Kb, but there's 151,280 of them in one process = 151mb. And he's not worried about the CPU usage, although ~10% says to me there's something like a video being played. As far as minimising usage there's not much that can be done. You can try disabling ABP, but you'll lose ad blocking. There aren't any extra options to disable or modify to try and drop it.
BugMiss006
Hi, Thanks for your question. As we can see from your screenshot, it is relatively low usage. Do not worry about that. And Disabling ABP will cut down your usage but will not block ads which you can disable it here in settings.
aglaidson
The CPU usage in screen shot is not only for Maxthon. The sum of CPU column is 0,67% for Maxthon. The problem is the consumption of RAM of Maxthon processes.
15890991
ABP is the memory hog. The usage in the screenshot is nominal. I have figures of 700,000 and 400,000 routinely on any one of the six or seven modules while running over 100,000 on most of the rest. The problem is that that memory is not diminished and given back to the system when tabs are closed. You can turn ABP off and install Ad Muncher to help with Ads. Ad Muncher is now a free application.
