Formatting issue - still exists

Recommended Posts

I know it has been reported long time ago, but this pesky bug with text formatting still exists - words are being cut into new lines (see attached image - which is a screenshot of the very Maxthon forum webpage)

Hi drake1980,

Thank you for bringing up this problem again.

You reproduced the problem in this forum?

I tried here on my end ,but everything seem to work fine...No cuts in words.

What version of Maxthon are you using? Me I'm running the latest version 4.4.6.2000.

Hi drake1980,

I am running 4.4.6.2000 too (probably time to upgrade). I checked several posts on different subforums and it seems like this issue is specific to older posts (I checked posts for official releases, like in my screenshot, and all posts up to 4.4.6.2000 (i.e. 4.4.6.1000 etc) do have this formatting issue. The newer posts (for 4.4.7.600 and 4.4.7.1000) format properly.

I wonder if it has anything to do with how the post was submitted/formatted???

Upgraded to 4.4.7.1000. Same issue - i.e. bad formatting with specific posts only (on this forum at least). I know those ones are the most hard to identify/fix. I hope you'll figure it out eventually. Good luck and keep up the good work. Cheers.

I was able to replicate the problem on the very page the OP names(http://forum.maxthon.com/index.php/topic/15993-maxthon-cloud-browser-for-windows-v4462000-officially-released/), changing the zoom setting seems to change which words are split. I'm guessing it has to do with the image in the post.

M4.4.7.1000 on win10
