Eblek Posted May 29, 2015 Report Share Posted May 29, 2015 Hello, can someone help me. I have already Account ID for Maxthon. Everyday i am using this browser without any problem. I love the theme, easy use, easy add favorite etc. But someday, i should reinstall my windows. So all data on my Drive C formated. After uninstall windows and reinstall new fresh windows, i try reinstall my favorite Browser Maxthon. And yes, its fresh. No addons no bookmarks. I though when i login with my user ID all my bookmarks will back which is Maxthon have Sync cloud. And dang! Still no bookmarks. I try using MX Cloud Sync but no help, its said Sync Error Always on Favorites Tab. My Internet Connection is good. Is that possible to back my bookmarks? Or its just vanish and gone =(. I am only using maxthon at my desktop computer now. Sadly no yet using it on my Android Phone. Will be helpfull much if theres still any way to get back all my bookmarks. Thank you. Remember to use Reto mode (press the lightning icon) then that page works best, from here you can recover all your Fav. links, also back in time there is 20. • Maxthon Online Favorites <~ See if your login'd here to. Strange it's fluctuate this much.?? <~ I use the free program DNS Benchmark, to find the Top best DNS for my placement on the net, got the 6 fastest DNS servers in TCP IPv4 now. So no it's not your AV that blocks. Have you any Ad block or ABP on.?? (Try turn them of) You can test it with Firewall and AV turned of, for a short moment and see if it works then (= Fav. Sync). Turn OF all the other Sync, so only Fav. is set to Sync, try Sync from here ~> about:favorites from the 3 vertical dots. And for the Quick Access it's this place you set it... How to make them work you also can see here. (^^,) <~ Those in Green works to, but Website Screenshot only works with an extra / in the url link, just like this http:///www.google.com But when your on http://fav.maxthon.com/api/fav/manager# and it says Fav. Recovered, then we maybe have to have a Mod to look at it, they can see more than me and you. EDIT 1: Hey 7twenty... You are super fast every time, i try to answer. (^^,) Ohh.. you answer here and on the other tread. EDIT 2: My Fav. Recovery works to, but it only shows up after Browser restart as it's supposed to. So it must be your browser Sync some how, because you are Login in every places, Yes.?? Hope thou, that it soon will work for you... [start]---[operation]---enter[cmd]----key [enter]-----enter [ping fav.sync.maxthon.com] in the pop up window. and it would be better you can send the screenshot to us ,then ,we can analysis it, thanks for supporting maxthon. And maybe you only skimmed the text and overlooked this " So all data on my Drive C formated. After uninstall windows and reinstall new fresh windows," Then you can't recover anything, all the the data is over written, with the new Win. install, the only thing he might can recover, is leftovers from big programs, movies and photos, in the tailgate of his OS. How will you find almost a 30 KB .dat file, thats also encrypted/password locked, on a overwritten hard-disk.?? The problem here is not recover from the HDD, but the Sync to Cloud servers, that holds the 265-bit encrypted favorites, split up to many other encrypted servers. This is not that easy... I dunno how but all my bookmarks is back !!! I was change My internet provider last week and change DNS with the new one. And now Maxthon can easly Sync all my data. And yess Maxthon its cool!!
