OGMat Posted May 3, 2015 Report Share Posted May 3, 2015 Everytime I load the browser and go to (any) site, a download file window pops up trying to save the site, anyone know how to stop this from happening? If so, please provide the link . n/a some more questions : do you use an external downloader ? latest version : ok but which one and where did you find it. Did you perform a clean install ? Have you made a Clean Install of a Staple Version and not a Beta or Alfa version.?? ( Beta is v.4.4.5.1200 ) Because your Maxthon download window, don't looks like mine... Then what Anti Virus and Malware Programs do you use.?? Because you may have accidentally got a download pop-up or a drive-by down-loader on your PC. So that it triggers the download window in Maxthon. OBS!! Stop using Microsoft Security Essentials, its free and lightweight, but don't catch all Viruses. So a waste of PC space and Bandwidth. MSE is "Windows Defender" in Windows 7 and 8.1, is placed among the very worst for protection...
