Here on my end I'm using the latest Betta version 4.4.4.600 and Download/Upload Speed work fine. Please manually click on the them to see if they can display, the upload speed was showing 0.0KB/s until i clicked on it the drop-down menu to enable the connection:) You may try the same to see if it works.
