awdrifter480749
I remember in M3.5 there's a way to add urls to the pop-up blocker list. Is this feature removed in M4.x? Thanks.
BugSir007
Hi, Maybe you can follow these instructions for Adblock Plus filters https://adblockplus.org/en/filters
awdrifter480749
No, I already have the custom URLs added to the custom blocking rules list. The problem is pop-ups. I don't have M3.5 installed on any of my PCs now, but I will install M3.5 on my VM so I can show you what I mean. Edit: Sorry, it was a feature from M2.5. So I guess this feature probably got removed in 3.5 already. As you can see in the screenshot, I can add custom URLs to the pop-up blocker list. Is it possible to add this back to M4.x? Thanks. ~Ohke
1.) Try use AdFender Free, to remove Ads on all Websites, and you save Bandwidth, for your online Games, TV & Videos. This way you can use almost all browsers you like, with or without any AdOns like AdHunter, AddBlock+, etc. It will not slow down your Browsers, nor your Surfing on the Net. Enable Malware Domains list in AdFender and block domains associated with botnet, winlock, malspam, cryptolocker and other malicious sites. • AdFender ~ The Ultimate Ad BlockerThen you can ad your own filters, under Custom rules, do like this : The 4 first is for update at MS (no blocking here), the rest is a total Block, of the domains & ads. Pres on View tab > copy / paste these lines in myrules.txt > press CTRL+S on your keyboard, and you see AdFender makes it's update of them... Another good and easy way, is to Block for Domains and Ad's, is by using your hosts file. You open and Edit, in this file with Notesblock. You find it this way > C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts Make a Shortcut to your Desktop, so you have easy access to it, to Edit in it if you find a Domain to Block. Remember to use CTRL+S (saving your Edit) so the hosts file don't get a file name, like hosts.txt , if it gets a file name. it won't work at all. It must be named hosts and nothing else, then it will work perfectly. Get it here > • Using a Hosts File To Make The Internet Not Suck (as much) - ( 0.0.0.0 version ~ it's more effective ). Or use this • This MVPS HOSTS file all free downloads. This is the custom one I use ~ 0.0.0.0 version from MVPS HOSTS it's includes entries for most major parasites, hijackers and unwanted Adware/Spyware programs! awdrifter480749
Thanks, but I don't want to run a separate app for ad blocking. I'll deal with the pop-up ads for now.
Dinataspace
Why not using ABP? I hate pop-up ads too but I'm quietly happy with latest beta. I know ABP causing our browsing slowing down a bit but at least, finally I can use this ABP rule to get rid of annoying pop-up ads. ||any-pop-up-ads-domain^$popup eg. ||fmdwbsfxf0.com^$popup I'm not using any easylist and so on. I just do manually adding ad-blocking rule or adding hiding element rule for each web which I visit only. It still fast like on adhunter and yes it lack of css customization but not big deal, I can compromize it with stylish.

I recommended the latest public beta 4.4.4.1200 coz the pop up ads issue on webkit core was optimized in this version. Don't ask for silent beta, it's for tester only. Here's the specific changelog taken from Bugsir007 post. Changelog for 4.4.4.1200Beta : +Optimized Pop-up blocking
