But here, i can delete the search engine from settings page. Just go to search engines box, select the search engine you want to delete and click delete to confirm. It should be deleted. I think you have to have at least one that will be set to default. So if you're going to add one of your own, add that first and then delete whatever is left. OK, that's what I thought you meant, but your reply to BugSir007 made me think otherwise. Menu > View > Uncheck Search Box. It will disappear! I agree with you as well, it has become somewhat redundant since you can easily search using the address bar.
