Olgir
Hello. Recently I was checking my router and noticed something strange. There were 200+ TCP connections from my computer to some unknown servers. Torrent was off, so I started digging if it was some sort of trojan or something. So, I went to command line and typed netstat -b and it turned up, that Maxthon established 150+ connections to some random servers, with just 2 tabs open. Here's some screenshots. WHOIS services tell me, that those servers have something to do with Amazon. So,could anyone explain me, what these connections are and why Maxthon establish them? Sorry for poor English, not my native language.
Guest
A lot of connections are for Passport sync! You can use a small utility Nirsoft http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/http_network_sniffer.html for see that! Only with starting Maxthon for example 9251
Olgir
But 150+ connections seems too much, also it lasts for several hours, I can not imagine an amount of information to sync for hours. I'll check those connections with your utility, thanks.
BugSir007
Hi, I just had to confirm with our development team. These connection are needed for Maxthon sync services. Do not worry about them. Thanks for your support!
