Searh engine automically changes from google to Maxask

Today I was trying to check my notes but there was nothing. Win 11 home, MX 7.3.1.2000

I have noticed that some extensions tend to "reactivate" themselves after a while. Not all, but for example the Zotero Connector plugin seems to get turned on after a while, as I intentionally disable it I don't know if it has anything to do with the specific plugins or is it something with Maxthon. There was no update done to either Maxthon or the plugin, as far as I can tell. But perhaps some update happened under-the-hood and this was the reason for the automatic reactivation? I intentionally use some of these in particular times, but don't want them on after that time. Is there anything that can be done about this? Using Maxthon 7.3.1.2200.

The new version of Maxton does not connect to the synchronization server. This has been going on for several updates. Bookmarks and notes do not sync, it is impossible to log into your account from different places. The Internet works fine. All add-ons are disabled. I have already contacted with this problem, now the browser of the new version does not connect at all.

Hello, I am having trouble signing in to several websites, I am getting a message telling me my version of chrome is no longer supported by the site. then tells me to update my browser. I am not finding a way to update it and if I can't get access to these sites I'll be forced to change to another browser, which I do not want to do as I have been a Maxthon user since it first started in 2002-2003. (except for a couple years around 2009 when I worked with a company server for everything). I've attached a snapshot of one of the sites message Has anyone had this problem? and if so, were you able to find a solution?

I just lost access to another site on maxthon that I use all the time. This time it is my you tube streaming service that has always worked until now. I reached out here when the issue was with chase bank website (And still is) which I had a couple of suggestions by people here (Thank You) but they did not work. I tried reaching out to Maxthon for help but never received any reply. They used to always reply but I'm guessing that since they started the VIP service they made that a requirement for them to care. I don't have enough of whatever I needed to sign up. no option for just paying for that. They have it set up people who are into playing games so you have to go on and do certain things to get what is needed. I'm sorry, I am a grown adult who is very busy and does not have time for all of that. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. Otherwise I'm going to be required to end my 20+ year relationship with Maxthon and find another browser that works the way Maxthon used to work. Thank You

What exactly is the "--enable-dinosaur-easter-egg-alt-images" thing?

Today, I noticed an issue with the new tab layout in Maxthon. The number of items per row for my favorite websites has changed from 6 to 7, which disrupts my preferred view. Even after adjusting the setting in the options, it reverts back to 7 whenever I open a new tab. I’m not sure if this is related to the recent update (Version 7.3.1.2000, 64-bit, released two days ago) or if it happened afterward. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any advice or solutions would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, Today I tried the latest portable version (7.3.1.1700 (64-bit) 1212 08:56) on win x64 Ent, without the backup of my "user data" folder and also without any extensions. The problems I mentioned before apply, namely: 1. Gmail disconnects for no reason (it asks me to log in again) 2. TRANSLATION WORKS WHENEVER IT WANT (right click/translate) 3. Another annoying problem I have is when I make a shortcut (in desktop) from any page Maxthon asks me (no matter what option I click) and creates an installation in Programs and Features\Installed Programs (pic 1) This was not there in previous versions and is very annoying. 4. I still see the unspecified days the first time I open the new tab in maxthon I need to open a new tab page because I saw Continuous check-in for 0 days if I open an incognito page the selected one works fine e.g. Continuous check-in for 6 days (pic 2) None of the above fixed it. https://developer.android.com/ is not loading properly. It doesn't show any loading or doesn't display the dropdowns. This works on a regular Chrome Browser Currently using Maxthon7.3.1.1700

Version 7.3.1.1701 It didn't work and it still doesn't work. The old version somehow connects, the new one: on one computer synchronization doesn't work, on another error -101.

Hello I am a Windows 10 Pro User. I am using Maxthon Version 7.2.2.6000 64-bit. I recently encountered an error like this. I am using the SaveFrom feature of the OrangeMonkey plugin to download videos from Youtube. I am also using the Tampermonkey plugin as a helper for this plugin. These plugins that worked until recently stopped working. It gives the error you will see in the photo below. In other words, it says the browser version is not compatible with this plugin. I closed all plugins. I ran it in safe mode, the result did not change. However, this feature works in Opera and Chrom browsers. I do not want to use any other plugins to download videos. Because this is the best. Thanks for your help

This is an updated thread replacing the previous ones that have been archived. MX 7 and 6 only function on Windows 7 or later. Chrome 110 and later only function on Windows 10 and 11. Earlier versions of Windows will remain on Chrome 109. Chrome 110 and up function in the UA for all versions of Windows. MX 7.3 series only function on Windows 10 and above at present. From MX 7.1.8.7000 (March 2024) it is possible to change the User Agent in MX 7 using the traditional internal UA modifier/selector in Settings/Advanced/ Experiments. You can also use extensions from the chrome store. I personally use https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/user-agent-switcher-and m/bhchdcejhohfmigjafbampogmaanbfkg (recommended). There are lots of others. The Qupzilla browser is now obsolete and is no longer being developed. From December 2022 I have in incorporated Edge and Opera as standard. These UAs break Youtube. Use standard Maxthon UA: just disable chosen UA extension in Extensions and reload tab. NOTE From version 7.1.8.9400 Live Chat seems to work correctly. With Windows 11 the system has changed to User Agent Client Hints (UA-CH). More information to follow as Browsers adapt to this new system.
