Downloaded beta. A few remarks. When I close Maxthon, still Maxthon background processes keep running. I guess, they should not be running after closing Maxthon. Adblock extension has some problems in running or not when I press block one ad on this page option. Maybe, this is not Maxthon, just mentioning. In Passkeeper I cannot edit login name just password. Try adding Adblock Warning Removal List: https://easylist-downloads.adblockplus.org/antiadblockfilters.txt (as previously mentioned) You can also report here: https://forums.lanik.us/ (incorrectly removed content) They're usually pretty quick when it comes to rectifying anti-adblock annoyances. Anti-adblock scripts actually rely on the script being blocked to trigger the warning. They name the script something they know will be blocked like "***advert.js". Therefore the fix is creating a rule to allow the script (and only the script) to run. Adhunter also occasionally triggered these warnings, but since it blocked a lot less by default, it happened a lot less. Also, if it's a popular site, there's a good chance it's already been fixed if you force an update.

Can you explain what the EasyList is, what it's for ... how it works? It has me perplexed as to just exactly how those weird choices in there would serve me here in the USA. I mean, you have choices in there about China, Czech, Dutch, Germany, Hebrew, Italy and what not. I don't believe I see one in there for USA. Anyway, I guess it's possible the culprit in these periodic failures of my Adblock Plus could be my Dial Up. Some websites / services on the Net are not as Dial Up friendly. For example, at one time, for several months I was having problems downloading the MBAM Definitions, while I had no problem downloading the SAS Definitions. Now currently, it mysteriously is the other way around. And like for Blogging platforms, I have found out that really only BlogSpot works fine with my Dial Up. tumblr, Wordpress and Weebly --- No Go's. So I guess it makes sense that possibly here and there my Adblock Plus gets out of whack because of Dial Up's slower speed. In thinking back, if I recall correctly, I THINK it's really more a case of once it's working, it works and stays working. I think it really doesn't suddenly stop working on its own. I think the failures occur more like after I have for whatever reason uninstalled and reinstalled Maxthon. You know ... as in when it would have to download something from scratch ... like maybe that EasyList.

I don't know what rule causes the problem., But with SQList I don't worry about it

Sorry for the late reply. Yes, AdBlock is enabled but the reason I asked is previously it would black ads automatically and now on some sites I see ads where there weren't any before but if I have to specify on a site to actually block ads then that's what I shall do. Thanks Edited: All the settings for ABP are as they should be so I suspect that some sites changed their coding to bypass ad-blockers.

I am using AdBlock Plus as a normal user on my Win7 laptop. I use the portable version usually from a desktop installation folder, but sometimes from a USB drive. Either way ABP works fine. However, I do NOT use the default adblocking list, EasyList. I disable that and the unobtrusive ads whitelist and install Wilser's Super Quick List from here: http://forum.maxthon.com/index.php/topic/15747-adblock-plus-super-quick-list-to-block-ads-05092015/?p=85505 Install it under Global Rules. It has worked very well for me.

First, I think you should upgrade to some newer stable version. Since version that you have been quite stable versions. Locate within your profile de maxthon, the \AdBlock\ folder, with closed maxthon, delete it or better rename it. In theory, you will only see a single list, with which you will have to reconfigure it.

Right now AdBlock still does not block background image http://www.ixbt.com/branding/ulmart/ulmart_general_ixbt_news_mar2015.jpg on site http://www.ixbt.com/news/ht/. This background is specified in CSS. Rule for AdBlock already exists in current "RuAdList+EasyList" list. Even If I add custom rule for this image - it does not blocked. If I open this image in separate tab - it blocked.

Normaly, since a few days, after a clean install there is no longer sync of rules (even for the new rules Adblock)! Have you recently performed a clean install? I said that in old forum but it's not related with version 4.4.5.1000, it's the same with previous Adblock versions. With a clean install of last 4.4.5.1200, the global rules have only this three entries

Oliver one is right. I've also deleted adblock plus lists and enable only my old maxthon adblock rules.It is much more better But still Maxthon has to do something about page loading. It maybe because of GPU acceleration.But since user says they ave tested with other computers,this may not be the case.

Искал информацию, понял, что мешают настройки ad-охотника, как их удалить? синхронизацию отключил, переустанавливал несколько раз, находил кэш на диске и удалял. Ничего не помогает. Firstly try updating to the most recent version: http://forum.maxthon.com/thread-14823-1-1.html If for whatever reason you can't/won't or the problem still occurs then try the following. Try adding the following to AdHunter v4.4.3.4000:##iFor AdBlock Plus v4.4.4.3000:gruppoesperti.it##iIt blocks the spinner in top banner - idea is if that spinners are the cause then blocking them hopefully fixes the issue. While not an actual fix, hopefully we can come to a workaround that stops the freezing that's occurring. Again, this is only based on the little spinner on the top banner, for the others shown in your videos can you: Right click on one of the spinners > Inspect element Take a screenshot of the devtools window that opens making sure the highlighted part relating to the spinner is shown. EDIT: Have been testing this latest "fix" for the past day. Had about 8 or 9 tabs open from that site occasionally refreshing or opening threads. Browser has otherwise been used as normal. No crashes or otherwise. Coincidence? Maybe. Also tried disabling AdBlock and still no issues. At one stage Maxthon was using >1.5gb ram and didn't falter. So not sure if it's the blocked bits or the updated version. But so far so good. So you've got two options you can test out - hopefully at least one stops it from happening on your system. I'd go with updating as your first test though.

Wilser replied at 2015-2-5 17:14 Since AdHunter was replaced by AdBlock everything goes slow :S It also slows down Maxthon 4.4.4.2000. I have disabled AdBlock Plus and now I use AdFender. AdFender works very nice and it does'nt slowdown Maxthon. AdFender is no browser plugin but a little program that lives in the system tray. So if u use more than one browser it works on all.
