Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14291 for both PC and Mobile to Windows Insiders

This preview introduces addons for edge, pinned tabs and other addons. And, can you believe it, paste and go in the address bar.

• This issue causing the notification area (“systray”) to look out of alignment when turning on the “always show all icons in the notification area” should now be fixed.
• We fixed the issue where connectivity to older Wi-Fi networks using the WEP encryption security method may be broken.
• We fixed an issue where the “X” to close the “Find of Page” toolbar in Microsoft Edge is displayed off screen on 8-inch devices when in portrait mode.
• We fixed an issue where the USB icon in the notification area was reverting to the old icon when ejecting drives.
• We fixed an issue where clicking the suggested search in Microsoft Edge resulted in a URL to the search as the search string."

 Issues

• "We continue to investigate an issue in which some Surface Pro 3, Surface Pro 4, and Surface Book devices experience a freeze or hang and all input such as keyboard/trackpad and touch do not work. The workaround is to hold down the power button to force the device to hard-reboot.
• Your PC may freeze when plugging in an Xbox One or Xbox 360 controller and other gamepads in this build.
• If you use Hyper-V and have a Virtual Switch configured for your network adapter, you may see an error indicator (red-colored “X”) for your network adapter in the notification area of your taskbar. The error indicator is incorrect and your network adapter should continue to work just fine.
• We are seeing reports of some apps such as QQ crashing. We are currently investigating, and this bug may also impact older apps such as Windows Live Mail and Expression Encoder 4.
• If you have Kaspersky Anti-Virus, Internet Security, or the Kaspersky Total Security Suite installed on your PC there is a known driver bug that prevents these programs from working as expected in builds from the Development Branch. We are partnering with Kaspersky to fix this issue for a future release, but at this time there are no known workarounds. While this issue is present, we recommend using Windows Defender or another third party anti-virus product of your choice to remain protected."

Good news. But at least 3 people (the OP, A.S and myself) seem to be unable to login from the .com site.

I also sent a feedback email and surprisingly received a reply. Have since replied and will wait to see what the outcome is.

I was logged in when I opened the extension site, so I logged out and was unable to log back in

New update to build 14279 adds 3 new languages to Cortana(Mexican Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and Canadian French), other improvements to Cortana and some work unifying logon and start screens.

i beleve 10 continues to be planned to become a free upgrade to eight and so i guess like many i'll have it whenever - have attempted an earlier beta also it just appears like 8.2

There is nothing missing from win7 in win10, everything you could do with win 7 can be done with win10.

"Aero" Really? Many aspects of aero are in win10. And those that aren't have been replaced by something better. 

Basing your comments on early beta's is like commenting on win7 by having used Vista.

It would be interesting to know why. After using both for at least a year I cannot think of one reason anyone would prefer Win8 over win10 especially since Win10 can be modified to look and work just like win8.

V4.9 is a new browser, twice removed from 3.5, skins for v4.9 are not compatible with v3.5. You can find 4.9 here in the forum.

Old skins won't don't work on Mx4.9, but progress is being made with each release. I imagine people will eventually be making new skins with tabs on the bottom.

I don't think they can be considered GIFs, they are actual video. My favorite used to be BSR screen recorder(it used to be completely free I think), it could save the files in avi, swf or wmv. You can find thousands of free screen recorders(well at least free to try) here: http://download.cnet.com/s/screen-recorder/ Others can run up to $300 like Camtasia.

10586 released with mostly bug fixes and No1 is going to get "Slow Mo" on his phone!

No mention of a fix for favorites sync on Edge.

Here's what I'm looking at for today, new Nvidia drivers(beta), new update for Steam, new insiders release and Black Ops 3 at midnight(in 2 hours).

At least the win10 update seems to be downloading quickly, probably not that big.
