  1. Update: I've since discovered this thread about linux development stalled: http://forum.maxthon.com/thread-13696-1-1.html Which I guess is why there've been suggestions of workarounds? If so I'm grateful for the workaround suggestions, but if there's little likelihood of a proper solution I'll find another browser
  2. That link is about a windows release. There's no mention of linux at all. I'm a recent adopter of maxthon across all my devices, windows, android, mac and linux. This thread is the first I've heard of a risk of no linux commitment. I looked for such info when I first started with maxthon and found the version mis-match, but no explanation. It's not uncommon so I went with it. I've invested many hours into making maxthon my alternative browser. Part of me thinks there should have been a warning on the download page, as this now feels like wasted time.
  3. I'm a big believer in fixing things at source "if the UA change does work for you I can't see any reason why you shouldn't use it" How about, if the UA change does work, I can't see any reason they can't build it into the maxthon code. I hate workarounds. I love solutions
  4. Maxthon Version 1.0.5.3 for linux. All google web services report in a yellow bar: "This version of Chrome is no longer supported. Please upgrade to a supported browser. Dismiss" On gmail, google drive etc. Screenshot: I'm aware of a workaround by tweaking the useragent, but a proper solution would be better. (There was another thread with this problem but it was marked as solved too early and without a solution).
  5. I also use lastpass, added as a chrome extension. I also see a problem where username and password fields are not recognised and lastpass doesn't do any autofill. If I try the same domain / site in chrome, it works perfectly.
