However, it can change if there are significant amount of requests for this feature. How much exactly is "a significant amount"?

Is it just from the international forum or Chinese as well? As we've seen in the past there can plenty of threads made about a feature and they just don't get implemented unless the dev team already decided to add it.

  2. Sorry, somehow I missed that... You have got to love the human brain.... sometimes it thinks it knows more than it does by occasionally missing some words!

Back to your issue.. what you can do is:

Export your favourites using Main Menu > Tools > Import/Export user data > Export Favourites > Export your Favourites to the selected folder

Open the folder you saved it to. Then right-click the column headers > more... choose URL from the list. The URL will then be displayed and you can then sort using that column.

If you have a number of folders, to show all the favourites in your list, type *.* in the search field at the top. Then sort by the URL column.

Then just import the data again. At that point you will get the option of deleting the current favourites and importing the new updated list, or creating a new folder with the updated favourites. You can then adjust/delete the folders as required.

Also keep a backup, just to make sure in case something goes wrong.

If using a passport account, once done manually do a sync to ensure the data gets saved to the cloud.

    Good luck :)

EDIT: cleaned up the last few sentences to make more sense after testing.

Did you try installing new version anyway?

The issue isn't about installing a new version. It's that the updater checker doesn't always find the most recent version. It can at times be a number a versions behind.

  4. I can only guess that ViolentMonkey does something with the script that doesn't happen when you make an extension from it. It might just be a case of adding one or two lines to make it work, but I can't help with that - i've got no idea.

The only other thing I can think of is that there are no sites defined in the "permissions" or "include" sections of the def.json. If you check the youtube center extension (which also seems to based of a userscript) you'll see they're listed. Although i've checked some others that don't have anything listed and they still work - i'm guessing if it's not defined it means "anysite"?

I tried playing around by adding some, and the only difference that I noticed was that the plugin was being called - if you check the dev tools console section you'll see the MX package GUID listed, but it wasn't working otherwise.

  5. Nice options, and when there is no other you use whatever you can get.

Would be nice if there was at least one VPN extension option. For me at least, it's not something that I use a lot, so to have to install another program that barely gets used seems a waste. I'd rather just open up FF with it installed for the few times I might need it.

And for that reason it'd be nice to have Hola at least available as an extension.

  6. I've posted so many times about this. And I can't believe something so simple still hasn't been implemented. Good to know i'm not the only one that is slightly annoyed by it.

I just changed the color to White and now I don't see them.It helps but it's not perfect, and still no good on darker themed sites.

  7. Maxthon should write their ownThey haven't yet, and see no reason why they'd start now.

where by you are not restricted to Google censorship onlyThey have the biggest repository of browser extensions available of any browser on the market.

Seeing as they're using chromium as the base, unless there is a technical reason (extensions code dropped, security, changes made to the core prevent them from using them) i don't see why they shouldn't let users have access to them.

Otherwise you have the issue like mx4 where you have a lot of major extensions not being available and quite possibly the reason many users just wont consider MX as a viable option for their daily browsing.

wondering if anyone found an answer to this yet, from reading posts looking for an answer I see alot ...

A workaround is explained in post #11. Unfortunately there is no easy on/off option.

when I start typing in the address bar, the only suggestion I want is from my favorites, NOTHING ELSE.The closest you will get is doing the workaround as listed above, and unchecking the "Show History items in suggestions" option in the address bar settings.

After that it will only show matched URLs that you've typed in the address bar and those in your favourites.
